This past Thursday, Owen’s school had their last Field Trip of the 2011-2012 school year. The field trip was to the Museum of Natural History or to Owen the ‘Dinosaur & Space Museum’. Basically since it is a bunch of pre-schoolers their field trips are not mandatory and each parent has to accompany their own child. It’s more like a play day where you all show up with your kid(s) and walk around the museum either with friends or on your own. Nonetheless they are very fun little outings for all the kiddos. Unfortunately Brandon had to work so he wasn’t able to join in on the field trip fun, but the kids and I had a wonderful time. The first half of the museum we walked around with Owen’s friend (Cora) and her mom and then the second half we walked around with Owen’s friend (Joaquin) and his dad. It was a great time and Owen was so well behaved and a great listener which was awesome because the museum was packed!
Owen picked out his special Dinosaur shirt to wear that morning. So fitting!
The picture on the left is Cora and her Mom. She is in Owen’s class and is a total sweet heart. Owen and her have a blast together. He has made such wonderful friends in school this year!
BFF’s
Owen and his buddy Joaquin. They are so much alike it’s scary. They talked in their made up “dinosaur” language all day. Boys are so funny!
They had a turtle out to pet. He was such a nice turtle and loved all the attention. Autumn LOVED it and kept petting it over and over and Owen wouldn’t go anywhere near it. Haha.
What a super fun last Field Trip of the year!
Since the kids were both so well behaved on the field trip, I decided to reward them by walking across the street to this huge park to have a picnic lunch and to let them run around and play. They were so excited and had a wonderful time.
So all was going great until….
They discovered this crazy pyramid slide made out of bricks that was crowded with 8-10 year old kids. They begged and begged me to go on this slide but I was not excited about the idea. 1) It doesn’t look very safe for toddlers and 2) it was packed with big kids.
After lots and lots of tears, I became a big sucker and gave in,
I’m usually not one to give in, but I did. They lived, their mom had a nervous break down, but they lived and had a great time!
I am so thankful to have two amazing and fun kids. They are becoming the best of friends and I absolutely love witnessing it! Have a great weekend!!!!
