Our Morning...

So I haven't had much to blog about lately, mainly because it has been so stinking hot here that we really haven't been able to do much exciting but stay inside and try and keep cool. Well yesterday we got a nice little storm that moved in and gave us some much needed rain and it is really bringing those 100 degree temps down to the low 90's/high 80's, Hallelujah! Anyway this morning could not have been more perfect weather. So since I have laundry piled to my ceiling and really need to get it done I didn't feel like leaving the house was a good option, so Owen and I decided to spend the morning in the backyard to soak up the awesome weather. Here are some pictures of Owen having some backyard fun this morning...
See how happy Owen was to be playing outdoors!

Here is a typical Owen face. He is such a wild little guy. Here he is having a drink and eating some fresh cut pineapple.

Of course, he found the last remainder of rain from last night! What can I say, the kid LOVES water.
Did I mention Owen loves water. Once he realized there was like an inch of water left at the bottom of his pool he tried to jump in with his clothes on. I tried telling him we were not going swimming this morning but this is what happened. Brandon has been working really hard with him on his manners now that he is talking in sentences. So instead of just saying please all the time for everything Brandon has been teaching him to say, May I please have..., you get the picture. Anyway, after telling him we were not getting in the pool today, he turned to me and tilted his head to the side and said, "Mommy may I please get in the water?" Seriously how could I say no after that?
Yep, I am a sucker. I decided to let him in and play but decided swim trunks weren't really necessary since it was just him. I know he looks kind of silly. O well he had a blast.
He spent the first few minutes cleaning out all the leaves that were in the water. He is so funny and really hates things on his finger. I get this face a lot when he has just about anything on his fingers. He also says, "Mommy get it off please!"
Daddy has also started teaching Owen how to show off his big muscles! LOL too funny!
Here he is singing into the water hose.
Owen does have one other love besides the water, Numbers and Letters. He spent about half of his overall time in the pool pointing out all the letters on the tiny writing on his pool. As you can tell he was very proud of himself.
And here he is trying to find just the right ball to play with.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as we enjoyed the awesome weather this morining!

Father's Day Celebration!

This year we celebrated Father's Day on Friday night because it was the only night that worked with every ones schedules. We went over to my parents house of the festivities. My Parents just bought Owen a pool to keep in their backyard for him when he goes over to play, so needless to say Owen had the time of his life! After a couple hours of Owen playing in the pool we talked him into going inside for dinner. My Dad and Brandon cooked up some delicious hot wings, I made some yummy potato casserole and my sister brought over some really good pasta salad. Dinner was nothing short of amazing and it was a good time kicking back and relaxing with the family. We finished the night off by opening presents and eating a delicious Chocolate Cake my mom made. Here are a few pictures from the night.
I know, Owen looks miserable in this picture, NOT! He loved his new pool Nana and Pampo bought him.
It even has a super fun slide for him. He must have went down the slide over 100 times.Did I mention Owen LOVES the water?
Taking a little break to warm up. By little, I mean enough time to wrap him up in the towel and then he is ready to get back in. The poor kids lips were a bluish purple at one point and he still refused to get out!

Here is Owen playing with Auntie Kiki and Uncle Chris. He loved playing with her touch screen phone.

Here is the gift we got for my wonderful Father, A Fishing Knife Set and a Canopy Camping Chair. My parents new favorite hobby is going fishing so we thought this was perfect. I think you can tell by my Dad's expression that he loved his gifts.
Here is Owen and Pampo trying out his new fishing chairs. Too cute.

Brandon's turn for presents. He doesn't look excited at all!
Owen started unwrapping Brandon's gift while he was still reading his card. Too funny. Owen and Autumn got daddy a fertilizer spreader and a weed whacker/grass edger. Brandon was so excited since he has been borrowing my Dad's for the last 3 years. Owen and I also made daddy a really neat scrapbook picture frame but I haven't taken a picture of it yet since he just opened it last night, he loved it. Happy Fathers Day Brandon. We love you so much!

Family Night Out

This past Thursday, some very good friends of ours invited us to Cliffs Amusement park for Friends and Family night for his work. Other than the 95 degree weather heat is was a really fun night. We got a free delicious dinner and got into the park for free too. Since I am almost 8 months preggo there wasn't a lot of rides I could do so it was just fine that we spent the entire evening in kiddy land. Owen had a blast on all the rides with Daddy while I sat behind and watched. The evening took a lot out of me being in the extreme heat for 4 hours but it was worth it to see how happy Owen was. Here are a few pictures from our evening.
Here is Daddy and Owen on the Carousel. I know Owen looks pretty mad in this picture but he really had a great time on it. He was very upset when Brandon got him off when the ride stopped. Daddy and Owen riding in an Airplane. Again Owen had so much fun he didn't want the ride to stop.
I think they were looking up at an actual airplane in the sky in this picture. How ironic.
Now on a balloon ride. Its kind of a dark picture, but if you look close enough you can see little Owen leaning on the rail of the balloon. Too Cute. The Frog Hopper. This ride raises you up and then bounces you down. Owen looked terrified when it would go up, but once it started dropping down he would get this smile of pure excitement. He loves rides. Look at how Happy He Is!So Daddy needed a little break so I did manage to get my large body on a ride with Owen. He loved this dog. It had a little button inside that you could push during the ride and it would bark and sing music to you. He had so much fun dancing while on the ride. Too Funny.
Here is the 3 of us, well 4 I guess, on the train. It was quite relaxing if you ask me.
This was the last ride of the night, hints why Owen looks as if he may fall asleep on the ride. This is actually an adult ride away from kiddy land, but Owen met the height requirement so we decided to give it a try. You sit in this seat and the ride goes in a very big high circle really fast. Owen wasn't scared one bit. He loved it and asked for more the second he got off!
So cute. They asked everyone to raise their hands so the safety belt can come down and Owen followed the instructions so well. What a big boy!

Autumn's Baby Shower

Last Saturday my Mom, Sister and my Two Best Friends (Kaitlyn & Libby) threw me a wonderful Baby Shower. Brandon's Mom and Aunt came down all the way from Colorado to help celebrate with me and ended up being a huge help setting up and cleaning up the shower. There was about 20 ladies all together that came to celebrate with us. It was such a beautiful shower and was very laid back which is exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone was so generous and gave me such wonderful gifts to welcome home my Baby Girl. Autumn is already spoiled and hasn't even made her entrance to the world yet, yikes! I cannot Thank everyone enough who came and helped me celebrate such an exciting time in my life. I love you all and can't wait for Autumn to meet each and every one of you.

My Mom & Grandma with me and my prego sister! Awe, I never thought we would actually be pregnant together. What a blessing. Libby, Me and Kaitlyn. I am so blessed to have these girls in my life. Thanks again for my lovely shower girls.
Danielle, George, Lindsey, Caleb, Me, Jess, Laura and Rachel. All very good friends of mine. Some from my old small group and some from my new small group at church.
Me and my beautiful Mother-In-Law! Thanks again for coming to celebrate my shower.
Me and Brandon's Aunt Rose. Isn't she beautiful? I had a blast spending the weekend with her.

Kaitlyn and Kenzie. These are our wonderful babysitters for our small group we have at our house every week. The one in the white shirt is our pastors daughter and also Owen's one and only babysitter. We started using her when Owen turned one. He absolutely loves her and calls her on his pretend cell phone about 5 times a day. Aren't they such beautiful girls?
Me, Christy and Cami. Christy is Kenzie's Mom and Cami is her sister. They are such a wonderful family.
Here is a little scrapbook page I made for all my guests to sign at the shower. I got this pretty frame to go with it so I can hang it up in Autumns Nursery.
And the very important Cupcakes. Libby and Kaitlyn were in charge of dessert and they chose the perfect cupcakes for me. Chocolate with Chocolate and more Chocolate. Thanks girls.
And here is everyone ready to watch me open my gifts.
Autumn got so many wonderful gifts. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and great support.
Here is one of my homemade gifts. My dear friend Jess made this adorable mobile to hang in the nursery. Wow, she is very talented. For those of you who don't know, she has a degree in furniture design. Yes, she makes furniture. She makes me feel very untalented.
And another homemade gift. My bff Libby made me this adorable wall hanging to clip all of Autumn's bows on. She also made all the bows on there. I can not wait to clip the very first bow in my daughters hair!!!!
