Easter Eve

Since I have about a gazillion pictures from the past 3 days, I am going to try and break it into 3 separate blog posts so please bare with me.

So Easter Eve was a fun and busy day. That morning we let the kiddos open up a special Easter Package that Mimi sent from Colorado. They were super excited to see what goodies she sent them.

Owen never lacks enthusiasm. He is so funny!

Owen is officially reading now so he wasted no time reading all the awesome books Mimi sent him.

Thank you so so much Mimi for all the wonderful and generous Easter Goodies. The kids LOVED them!

After all the goodies were opened we got ready for the day and ran all the Pre-Easter errands we needed to run. Came home, ate lunch and took naps. After naps the kids and I headed to church. For those who are wondering why I went to church alone with the kids on Saturday it’s because I volunteer and teach the 4-5 year old Sunday School class. It’s a lot of fun and my kids love getting to go to church twice a week!

 

Of course I had to get them all dressed up since it was Easter weekend! He is one handsome little man.

I really don’t know what to say. She is hilarious. She has a very sweet side to her, but lets face it, she is so so crazy! Love this child so much.

So after church the kids were very very anxious for Daddy to get home because we were going to Color Easter Eggs. Owen doesn’t like to say Dye Easter Eggs because it sounds mean to say dye. Hahaha. Anyway as soon as Daddy got home, we all changed into our pj’s and started “coloring” Easter Eggs. The kids had so much fun.

So thanks once again to the wonderful Pinterest idea, we let the kids put the eggs inside a whisk to dip in the cups to dye their eggs. It worked great and didn’t make any messes.

And here are Owen’s eggs. Owen had a blast mixing colors to make new colors. He was fascinated.

Owen got really really sad when all his eggs were colored so to avoid a major melt down we let him paint with the left over dye. He had fun and we avoided disaster. Lol.

What a fun night! So glad the kids are at really fun ages to do these fun traditions with. So thankful!

 

And while the kids were sound asleep an Easter Bunny snuck in our house and left them some really cool treats…
