Welcome Ava Jewell…

Our friends Blayde & Leah welcomed their sweet daughter to the world on Tuesday, August 16th @ 6:17pm. Little Ava was 5 lbs. 12 oz. and was 3 weeks early. They had to induce Leah because of high blood pressure and her labor was very looonnggg and not fun. To sum it up, the poor girl was in labor for 44 hours, 2 failed epidurals and 2 1/2 hours of pushing. Poor thing I can not even imagine! Well, Kaitlyn and I were so lucky and got to go meet little Ava Jewell on Friday morning. Let me just say she is so precious and such a blessing to Blayde and Leah. We are so happy for them and so grateful we were able to go meet her. Here are a few pictures I was able to snap while meeting her…

Little Ava spent about 8 days in the NICU because of pulmonary hypertension. Basically her lungs were not fully mature and she needed a bit of assistance breathing. She is doing great, healthy and gaining weight so she should be able to get off the oxygen tubes next week. Please keep her in your prayers for a clean bill of health. She is so sweet.

Isn’t she just precious? There is nothing sweeter than starring at a newborn.

She was full of smiles for Kaitlyn and I.

A huge Congratulations to Blayde & Leah. She is simply perfect!
