So we have this friend, Katie Lively, that does amazing photography work (www.katielively.com) and we have been dying to use her. Since we really needed to get Autumn’s 1 year old pictures taken we decided what better time than now? She does 1 hour sessions so we were also able to get some sibling pictures, some cute shots of Owen, a few family shots and a couple of just Brandon and I. Before I show all the pictures I just need to say a couple things, yes I am most likely going to ramble, my specialty. So the day of our photos roll around and let me start by saying the day turned into a disaster! Autumn was super grouchy due to teething, and Brandon forgot he had a cavity filling at 3pm and our pictures were at 6:30pm. Brandon gets home from the dentist at 4:15ish and his face is completely swollen! Like very badly swollen! Since all 3 of us were already all dolled up and ready for pictures, I was not about to cancel now. I got an Ice Pack and some ibuprofen for him to try and get the swelling to go away. Well, unfortunately the swelling did not go away in time for pictures so the family ones are not the greatest but everything else was great. We went to the middle of nowhere in the dessert to try and capture a bit of New Mexico into the photos. Last thing I need to mention is that it is nearly impossible to get a 3 year old and a 1 year old to look at the camera at the same time with or without a smile!! So even though the kids may be doing their own things in a lot of the shots, I love it because it captures our real life and not some posed fake life we live. Lol. Hope you enjoy. There are going to be a lot because its way to hard to narrow them down.
