The beginning of the week was pretty laid back since Myself, Owen & Autumn all came down with little colds. Luckily by Thursday we were all on the mend and feeling much more like ourselves. So lets rewind to Wednesday for a bit. Owen hadn’t seen his friends Linkin and Finnley in awhile and asked if they could come over to play. It worked out nice since Linkin’s Mommy is in the middle of planning his 4th Birthday party so she was able to get lots of errands done while the kids came over to play. They walked over around 2:15ish and stayed until almost 6:00! Leanne was going to come get them at 4:30 but I asked if they could stay a little longer since they were all having so much fun. I can not express how lucky we are to have such amazing friends that live right across the street! Here is their afternoon/evening together.
They started the afternoon with a big pretend picnic!
Don’t worry friends, Autumn always find a way to include her self in playing with the older kids.
After the picnic, they all kind of went their separate ways for a bit. Owen and Linkin were giving each other rides on the computer chairs, one of their favorite things to play at our house. Lol.
Finnley was busy being a Mommy (just thought I’d point out that Finnley will not let her Mom dress her anymore. She insists on dressing herself. So on this particular day she decided on Flannel Princess Pj’s in the middle of the summer. Lol) And Autumn was busy being a Stinker, her specialty these days.
Then they all reunited for a bit to watch Word World. Owens favorite cartoon!
These girls LOVE each other so much. I think in the last picture Autumn was getting a bit mad that Finnley wasn’t sharing her drink. Lol, look at that mean face she is giving!
Then Owen and Linkin decided they needed to lay down with their babies for a rest.
And when that got old, Linkin decided to read his Spiderman book to Owen.
And the girls ran off to have a tea party! So precious! Autumn adores Finn!
And when Autumn had to go down for a nap…the wrestling broke out. Let me point out this is play wrestling not being mean to one another. They NEVER have a play day together without a good fun wrestling match!
BFFs. Its hard to believe in 2 short years these two are going to be in Kindergarten together!
I let the kids choose their dinner menu and between the 3 of them they came up with Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Steamed Carrots, and Oranges.
And they scarfed down every last bite!
Okay Fast-forward back to Thursday. Our good friends The Dutton family, Brittany, Travis & Baby Jace, came over for dinner. They were so sweet and brought some homemade Lasagna. O my goodness it was delicious, Britt makes the best Lasagna! I made a huge salad and fresh garlic bread to go with. Let me tell you we were stuffed by time dessert came out. It was such a fun night spent with great friends. Baby Jace is about 6 weeks older than Autumn so the kiddos enjoyed playing with one another. Here are a few pics we were able to snap during the evening.

Having some story time. If your wondering what is up with my face in the picture on the right, it was because Owen was “Roaring” like the lion in the book I was reading to him and Jace and it was supposed to scare us. Lol.

We had such a wonderful night. When bedtime rolled around, Travis & Brandon went back to their house (they live about 2 min down the street) put Jace to bed and stayed up until Midnight playing video games; meanwhile Brittany and I put my kids to bed at our house and we stayed up watching the new Season of Project Runway together while enjoying a nice glass of wine. Can’t get better than that my friends. Thanks again for a fun night Dutton Fam!
