To say we have been busy this week would be a complete understatement. Between getting ready for some much anticipated company this weekend and getting ready for Halloween, we have been busy busy busy. On Friday, Brandon’s Dad and Nana are coming for a visit. We are so so excited since Autumn has still never met her Great Nana Burgess. What a fun weekend it will be! Needless to say we have been making lots of trip to the grocery store to stock up on food before our guests arrive and the cleaning and laundry is never ending. Anyway, here is a brief look at our week.
Monday – A fun filled Package
Monday after running lots of errands, we stopped by the mail box on our way home. Owen was so excited to see him and autumn had received a letter and a package in the mail! I mean it, the excitement was over the top!!!
Thank you so much GG and Papa Nick. Owen and Autumn LOVED their Halloween card and especially LOVED the McDonald’s gift cards!!! We will be going there very soon. You two are so sweet!
Next they were off to opening up their package…
Thanks you so much Aunt Rose for the package stuffed full of Halloween goodies. The kids had a blast opening up and seeing all the wonderful gifts you sent. You also know my kids with the awesome McDonalds gift cards. My kids can not wait to go! You are as always way way to thoughtful and generous!! Autumn especially loved her Kitty Treat Bag. She calls anything that looks like a purse “her backpack”. She carries this kitty bag around EVERYWHERE!
Tuesday – Being Silly
Tuesday was another busy day filled with errand, laundry and lots of cleaning. We took a little break in the afternoon because my sister and niece dropped by for a visit. The kids always have fun spending time together so it was lots of fun. While they were here, the three kids were having fun tearing apart Auntie Kiki’s diaper bag. Upon going through it they found Abigail’s sunglasses so they were being silly and trying them on….
Who knew a pair of sunglasses would bring on endless entertainment. Hahaha.
Wednesday – Galloping Grace Pumpkin Patch
This morning we were supposed to meet up with a couple friends at this small local pumpkin patch. We were actually supposed to go last week but poor Autumn was sick with an ear infection so we rescheduled for this wednesday. Anyway, to make a long story short the two friends we were supposed to meet had to cancel due to sick kids and a schedule conflict. I had already told Owen we were going so I didn’t want to break the poor kids heart, as he has been really looking forward to going, so I packed the kids up and we headed there anyway. Although it was just the 3 of us we still managed to have a really fun time. Did I mention it is FREE? Even better.
Here is my best attempt at a sibling picture at the pumpkin patch. It is nearly impossible.
Owen gets really excited when he can lift up big pumpkins. Guess it’s a guy thing. lol
Can’t blame the kid for trying. Some of these pumpkins were HUGE!
Autumn absolutely loves animals. Much more than Owen ever did. He is not much of an animal person. Autumn could’ve stayed and looked at the chickens and ducks all day.
The goats were also a huge hit with her.
Corn Box Fun
Pumpkin Bowling
Dress the Scarecrow
Tractor Racing
Ropin’ Cattle
Ridin’ Cattle
Bean Bag Toss
The biggest hit of the entire Pumpkin Patch was the Duck Racing. Owen could have stayed there all day racing ducks. He was quite good at it too!
Go duckies, GO!
He was so into this. Cracked me up!
And Autumn had fun just walking around playing with all the Pumpkins, or as she calls them, “Balls”. Lol
It was so nice to take a break from the busyness of our week and get out and have some good fall fun! I had so much fun hanging out with the kids this morning and am so grateful to be able to stay home with these cutie pies!!!!!! I am so blessed and my heart is so full.
