Yesterday Owen and Autumn each had fun filled morning. Owen and I got invited to go to the Museum of Natural History with his friend Owen. Since Brandon was off yesterday, he agreed to have a father daughter morning so Owen and I could accept the invite to the museum. Plus Owen was in much need of some time away from his little sister and some one on one time with Mommy. She has been driving him nuts lately. So it was all set. Brandon and Autumn started the morning off at the gym and after that he took her on a trip to the park. I was told they both had a blast. Owen and his Mom Kerry met us at our house at 8:30am, we decided to car pool since we live about a mile apart. Boy o boy did the boys have fun riding in the car together! Kerry and I could barely have a conversation because the boys were singing at the top of their lungs. O well, they were having a blast and were so fun to listen to. We got to the museum at 9 and didn’t leave until about 11:30. I think it goes without saying the kids had so so so much FUN! Both the boys are very into Dinosaurs so it was so much fun to watch their faces standing next to the huge Dino’s. My Owen is also really fascinated with Outer Space and Plants so that was also a huge hit. Well, I will stop talking now and get onto the good stuff….pictures. Beware, there are a lot, you know me!
Owen B. & Owen A. standing next to T-Rex.
For those of you who don’t already know, Owen B is going to be a stegosaurus for Halloween. Needless to say, he was stoked to see a huge Stegosaurs!
Did I mention there were computers and buttons to push EVERYWHERE! O man, these two LOVED pushing all the buttons and playing on the computers.
They took turns with all the buttons. I was so impressed with their sharing yesterday as it can be a huge challenge at times.
Walking on the Lava Floor was also a huge hit! They thought it was so cool. They loved learning all about volcanoes. Owen talks about them non stop now!
Owen has a serious obsession with outer space and all the planets. He loved this area and could have stayed their all day!
A little scientist in the making!
Making animal tracks/playing in the sand.
Pretty nice that we just had to write one name in the sand and it applied to both of them!
Kerry and I got to touch a millipede. YUCK!!!! The Owen’s were way too freaked out to touch this thing.
But pull out a big snake and they were all over it…
Owen has now decided that he wants a pet snake. Eeeewwww!
And for some really strange reason, they both were dying to hug a dinosaur the whole day. So when we were getting ready to leave, we let them hug the big dino statues they have out front. Silly boys!
And then they played chase around the dino.
And then they had to hang on the dino’s tail.
And that concludes our trip to the Museum of Natural History. What a fun morning with awesome friends. I can see a lot of play days in the near future with these two. They love hanging out together and have so many of the same interests. Thanks so much for inviting us Alexander Family!
And here is what we came home to….
Autumn and Daddy Dancing! To say Autumn has Daddy wrapped tightly around her fingers would be a complete understatement. He is so in love with his baby girl. As he should be!
And the feeling is mutual. She absolutely ADORES everything about her Daddy! So Sweet!
What an awesome Friday morning we all had!
