Ok, I think I am back on track here. I am getting back into the swing of my role as a Stay at Home Mom, the house is all straitened, the laundry is all caught up, and dinner is cooking away in the crock pot. What does all that mean? I am back in business to blog! Yay! I tell you, 5 days away doing my own thing really threw me off of my role here at home. I guess I never realized how much “me” time actually meant until I finally got 5 days of it in a row. I know this sounds crazy, but I haven’t had time like that in 4.5 years! Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond grateful for my life, my husband and my kids, I just forgot how selfish one can get when all they have to worry about is themselves. I was starting to worry that I’d never snap back into reality. Lol. I wouldn’t trade my life for anything in the world. I am exactly where I need and want to be…right here at home with my husband and kiddos. Ok, off of my little rant and onto this beautiful wedding!
So I basically blogged about my trip to Vegas, minus this Gorgeous Wedding Day which was the whole reason I went there in the first place. Most of the pictures are from our time getting ready for the wedding. Since I was in the wedding and had many responsibilities it was nearly impossible to take pictures of the wedding and reception. Being a Bridesmaid is hard work let me tell you. So here we go.
Friday:
I’ll back track just a bit here. Friday night after the Rehearsal Dinner the wedding party went out for a little night cap at the Sun Coast Casino. At about 10pm we all said goodnight because we all needed to get our rest before the big day, especially the Bride and Groom. Candie (the Bride), Tammy (fellow bridesmaid) and I all shared a room that night. It was so fun to have a little sleepover with two of my favorite girls the night before my BFF’s wedding. We had a nice little pj party and watched the end of a chick-flick and then drifted off to get our beauty rest.
Saturday:
Us girls woke up about 8:30am. We took our time showering and getting semi ready for the day. We headed down to meet the other bridesmaids and the mother of the bride/groom for a nice Breakfast in the Hotel’s Restaurant. After Breakfast we headed down the street to Fantasy Spa and Nail for some pre-wedding Mani and Pedi’s.

After our Nails were all pretty we ran back to the Hotel to gather all our stuff for the wedding and headed to the Venue. They got married at a place called The Emerald at Queensridge. OMG, the venue was BEAUTIFUL. It is an outdoor venue for the wedding that was breath taking and then they have a beautiful indoor hall for the reception/dance. They specialize in weddings so everything is exquisitely executed. There is a Bridal Suite and a Grooms Suite. The Grooms suite had this huge leather couch and a PS3 so the guys can relax and play video games before the wedding. How Cool. The Bridal Suite on the other hand was HUGE AND GEORGEOUS. It had about 6 different make up areas each with their own sink and mirror, a huge walk in closet, two full bathrooms and 3 giant floor to celling mirrors. It was perfect for all us ladies. Upon arriving we first started by getting our hair done. After hair we all hung around doing our make-up (the bride had hers professionally done of course). We also ate lunch that the venue provided and did what girls do best…talk! Around 5pm we all slipped into our dresses, got the bride all situated and we were off for pictures.

Another Wild Hair did an EXCELENT job on our hair. The theme was vintage, I think they accomplished it really well.

I even got a little airbrush work done. Lol. Remember that nasty bruise on my knee? They sure did some magic on that thing.

After the toast, it was Wedding Time! So from this point on the pictures were few and far between. I took a few pictures from Facebook, but other than that, they are pretty sparse….

After the wedding, all the guests went to their cocktail hour while the Bridal Party had their pictures taken. Then the entire bridal party headed back up to the Bridal Suite to touch up and get ready for our grand entrance to the reception.

The Bridal party all made our entrance into the reception by dancing to a preselected 90’s throwback song. Me and Justin (fellow groomsmen) danced into MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This”, it was a blast.

As Tammy and I were trying to take a picture of the two of us, we got ‘Photo Crashed’ by a fellow groomsmen. Hahaha
There we go. Lol.
CONGRATULATIONS Toby and Candie. I could not be more excited for the two of you. You two were obviously meant for each other and it is absolutely apparent in the way you look at one another. I wish you two a lifetime of LOVE AND HAPPINESS and lots of babies. Hehehe. It was truly an HONOR to be a part of your special day. I love you both so much!!!!!!
Sunday:
Sunday was a day of rest. Most of the out of towners had early flights that morning, except me of course. Since my flight was later in the evening, I went to breakfast with the Mr. & Mrs, the Best Man and Candies parents. After Breakfast I headed back to Candie and Toby’s house to hang for the remainder of the day. I got a front row seat as the two of them unwrapped their awesome wedding gifts while they reminisced about their wedding day. It was a blast to spend that time with the both of them after such an amazing day. I also got to see their brand new home that they just bought. I am so stoked for them. Love is all over their new home and life.
Due to the excessive bright light coming in through the windows behind them the pictures did not come out very well but you get the point.
At 6pm I caught my flight home and ran into the open arms of my beautiful family welcoming me back home. A huge THANKS again to everyone who made this weekend possible…Husband, Mother-in-law, Claudia. You three are amazing! I had an absolute BLAST!
