I know you are all probably thinking, “Kaitlyn & Olivia?”, since all of you who have been following my blog for any amount of time know that Kaitlyn was my dearest friend back in New Mexico. Well, She has a ton of family in Colorado Springs and her and her family drove up for a long weekend to attend a family reunion in Colorado Springs. For those of you who are not familiar with Colorado, Springs is only about a 50 minute drive from Denver. Her and a few other family members were planning on driving up to the area to do some shopping at the Outlet Mall in Castle Rock. Our original plan was to meet up and spend the morning at the outlets together so we could take advantage of seeing each other. Well, the more we thought about it, the more we decided dragging the kids along with us while we shopped probably wasn’t the best idea; 1, Because they haven’t seen each other in a month so they were probably going to be wired and hyper and 2, Because what 4, 3, and 2 year old really wants to shop anyway! So we changed plans.
Her Mom and a few others still went to do some shopping at the outlets and Kaitlyn, Olivia, Colleen (Kaitlyn’s Sister) and Colleens baby Logan met us for some fun in Lone Tree by Park Meadows Mall. After some research, since I still don’t know everything around me, I came across this place called Little Monkey Business. It was about a 15 minute drive from the outlets and a 15 minute drive from me so we figured it was the perfect median for us both. Monkey Business is a play area for kiddos with lots of things to run, jump and climb on, perfect for the kiddos! The kids had an absolute BLAST together and so did the mommies. The place was set up really cool, they had the huge play area for the kids, a separate play areas for crawlers so you didn’t have to worry about your preschooler stomping the babies, and then they had tables and a café for the adults to sit at, chit chat, and have a cup of joe while watching your kids play. It was great! I will definitely be taking the kids back. Best of all, when you pay it covers the whole day so you can take your kids home to eat lunch and nap and then go back for more fun in the afternoon. So cool! Although we only got to see the wonderful Altman Girls for only 2 short hours before they had to head to lunch with their Aunt in Denver, it was so worth EVERY SECOND of it!
Here is my best attempt to get a good shot of everything the place has to offer. Honestly doesn’t quite do it justice because there is so much I feel is left out between these pictures.
Autumn and Olivia were attached at the hip the entire time we were there. So sweet!
1…2…3 weeeee!
This is Kaitlyn’s Nephew Logan. Such a sweet baby boy!!!
Our best attempt at a group shot! Pretty Cute in my opinion. They were all so so sad when it was time to leave. Owen and Autumn’s little faces lit up when they saw Olivia when we arrived. Owen said, “Yay. It’s my New Mexico friend Olivia!” Like he has any other friends named Olivia? Too funny!
Me & Kaitlyn! Love this lady so much. It was great to see her but also makes me miss her all over again :( At least we will see each other often as I will go back to visit New Mexico since all my family is still there and she comes up to Colorado usually 3-4 times a year!
LOVE YOU KAITLYN & OLIVIA!!!!!!! Thanks again so much for finding time in your tight schedule to come up and see us :)
