Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing Mom’s out there! I hope you all had an amazing day with your loved ones.
Motherhood is a 24/7 job with no pay and at times can feel very unappreciated. Although this motherhood thing is very tough mentally and physically it has the highest reward than any paying job could ever offer. It often takes my breath away when I sit back an realize how absolutely blessed I am to have these two precious children that call me mom. It is so fun to look back on my life as a child with the eyes and wisdom of a mother now. To now realize what my mom must have been feeling and thinking. Let’s face it, all our mom’s blew it at times. They were impatient, they lost their tempers and boy did they raise their voices. But I now realize that in all those ‘not perfect’ moments how extremely tired and exhausted she was from doing this tough job of being a mother. How many times she asked me to do the same thing? How awful my attitude was to her and how many times I disobeyed her? How I did not fully understand the sacrifice she was making to chose to be at home with my sister and I.
And now, here I am reliving my mothers life. I lose my patience with my kids, I yell, I lose my temper. I fail everyday to be the perfect mother to my kids. But I am tired, mentally and physically, but I am honestly trying my best. I know my kids get tired of hearing me correct them over and over or ask them to clean up their toys 1,000+ times in one day. I think in their little minds they feel I am asking them to do EVERYTHING. But they don’t see all I am actually doing. They don’t understand that Mommy doesn’t love to do laundry and mop up their juice spill on the floor. Or that Mommy doesn’t think vacuuming is awesome and they don’t understand why I am not jumping up and down to cook another dinner with my fingers crossed that they will actually eat what I put in front of them. They just don’t see it. Not because they don’t appreciate it, it’s simply because they are still just kids. Kids who need me. Kids who need my guidance and my advice. Kids who need me to kiss their boo boo’s and to give them a hug or a high five when they do something awesome. They are simply kids who NEED ME and I am so blessed beyond words that God has entrusted me to be their Mom here on this earth.
Lord please give me the patience, guidance, wisdom and strength to raise these children in a God honoring way that one day they will come to know, love and accept you as their Heavenly Father. Thank you so much for blessing my life so abundantly. I welcome the exhaustion that comes with something as rich as this. That I get to be on the front row as God grows these children. Happy Mothers Day!

This Mother’s Day we went to my parents house for dinner. Both mine and my sister’s husband work on Sundays so we planned dinner for 6:30pm. The kids and I headed to their house about 3:30pm to hang out with them before dinner. Since all our husbands are not big fans of Breakfast for dinner and us Mommy’s love it we decided to have Breakfast for dinner since we rarely get to do it. My Dad was so sweet and made the Breakfast Burrito Bar. He worked his butt off in doing so, what a sweetheart! He made his amazing red chili, bacon, sausage, fresh deep fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, salsa and freshly grated Colby Jack cheese. The Burritos were amazing!!! My sister made some delicious Strawberry Bruschetta and I made my famous monkey bread for dessert. Wow, the food was amazing! After dinner all us mommy’s got to open some very sweet gifts from our loved ones and just sit back and enjoy each others company. It was the BEST Mother’s Day to date! I have a zillion pictures so please enjoy!
Autumn’s “cheese” face get more and more ridiculous each day.

Ok. So when my Grandma (my Mom’s Mom) passed away last year my mom gave me a set of her old bed sheets. It was this super cute pink, purple and green stripped sheet set. I knew exactly what I was going to do with them the moment she gave them to me. I made Autumn, Abigail and Owen coordinating outfits out of the sheets she gave me. Then my sister and I scheduled a photo shoot with the grandkids in their special outfits. The pictures came out AWESOME (I will post a blog from the photo shoot later this week). Then we had them framed for my mom. She cried her eyes out when she opened it and realized the grandkids were wearing special outfits from their Great Grandmothers old sheets. What a special thing for her to have. Way to go sister. We did good!
I also wanted to do something for my sister to honor her for being an amazing super mom to my sweet niece. She now has a dress code at her work and can no longer wear all her cute scrubs, they have to wear solid black scrubs. So she gave me this huge bag of scrubs to have and do with what I please since a lot of them had really cute fabric. So I went through them and found this adorable purple butterfly print and I made a little halter top dress for Abigail out of her Mommy’s old scrub top. She LOVED it!!! Yay. Love you sissy!
Owen and Autumn showing off their belly buttons to pampo. Lol. And here is Abi playing with her cool new flashlight!
You can always expect at least one good meltdown to occur at all family gathering with 3 kids under the age of 4. Haha.
Goodness gracious I got spoiled! I mean spoiled. To the point I was feeling a bit guilty for getting all these wonderful gifts. I am so blessed. I got a really cool picnic blanket and bottle of wine from my parents. Another bottle of wine from my sister. (Guess they know what parenthood drives me to. Jk.) A Starbucks gift card from my amazingly awesome Mother-In-Law. And my wonderful kids got me the following: 2 new pairs of sandals, a new water bottle for the gym, a mini muffin pan, and some weight gloves for this class I take at the gym. Wow. And my amazing husband completely surprised me by getting a family picture we took last year framed. How sweet! I had absolutely no clue. I had the picture printed and had been meaning to get it framed but never got around to it. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts, you all treat me too well!
Its amazing how happy a new pair of shoes can make me. Lol!
Such a great Group Picture!!!!
And here is a peek at the frame we got for my mom.
