As you all already know, Owen was a Dinosaur and Autumn was a Peacock this year for Halloween. I was quite excited this year for their costumes since this was my very 1st year hand making/sewing their costumes. I wasn’t super creative as I took the ideas from Pinterest, but they did come out super cute. I also took the majority of my Halloween decorations/food from Pinterest ideas as well. Here are some of the fun things I made….
Here we have my felt Mirror Bats and my Halloween Wreath for my front door.
And Milk Jug Ghosts. This was the first thing I ever pinned on Pinterest so I had been planning on making these for months now. I really like how they turned out and they were a big hit with the kids.
And of course the Pumpkins we carved.
This year for Halloween we really wanted to keep things low key. We just finished up having company, I have a baby shower I am throwing in a couple weeks and we are hosting a really big Thanksgiving Celebration in a few weeks; needless to say we wanted to relax before things get really busy around here. We had my Mom, Sister, Brother-In-Law, Niece and a couple of our very close neighborhood friends over to help us celebrate. We all had a blast and it was nice to just kick back, relax and eat some yummy food with such good friends and family. My sister brought over a delicious African Peanut Stew and I made a yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup. For this kids I made some cute little Mummy Dogs (basically Pigs in a blanket) and their was a big assortment of Breads, a veggie tray, a Halloween snack mix, Candy Corn, Mummy Cupcakes, Brandon’s amazing Pumpkin Seeds, and so much more. Yum yum yum! Here are tons of pictures from our 2011 Halloween….
Here are the fun Mummy Cupcakes I made. Another fine Pinterest idea!
This little Dino sure loved the Halloween snack mix (pretzels, m&m’s, candy corn and raisins). Thanks for the delicious treat Melissa.
My little Peacock and Adorable Aubryn as Snow White. Poor Autumn just got two teeth today so she wasn’t feeling the best. She had a bad runny nose and red cheeks. Didn’t stop her from having a blast though. What a trooper.
We also had Averie as Princess Belle, and Abigail the Beagle….
Finnley the Pink Princess, Linkin as the Green Lantern and Aiden the Army Soldier. They all looked absolutely adorable.
This little girl is so beautiful!!!!! She is the sweetest little baby too. I am so happy Autumn has her and her cousin Abigail to grow up with!!!
Trying to scarf down their Mummy Dogs so we could head out to Trick-Or-Treat
And off we went. My Mom stayed behind to hand out candy at our house, thanks so much mom. We had a TON of Trick-or-Treater’s this year! Good thing we were prepared with enough candy to hand out!
And we are off….
The house next door was pretty spooky but the kids loved it!
Some of the neighborhood dogs were even in the Halloween Spirit! Hahaha…
Autumn was stoked when she got her first Dum Dum sucker. She LOVES suckers!
Here are some of our good friends Paul & Collette all dressed up. Owen loves them so much.
This house was by far the hit of the night. They were playing a Charlie Brown Halloween Movie. They had a bunch of chairs set up for all the kids to pull up a seat, eat some candy and watch a little movie. So cool!
Once the bags were full, and I mean FULL, we headed back home for some more food and fun. Thanks again Pam for sending us these wonderful Handmade Halloween Bag for the kids.
The jumper was a huge hit. Thanks so much Leanne for bringing it over!
These boys have an absolute blast when they get together!!!
What could be better than a jumper when you are on a huge sugar high?
Back inside Babies were getting loved on, princesses were playing,
People were eating,
and lots and lots of playing!
And we had to continue the Halloween Tradition with a fire and some good ole smores!
Warming his hands up.
I LOVE my sissy!!!!!
The Baby Girls warming their hands. They are too precious!
Leanne, Me, My Sister, and Melissa. I absolutely LOVE this group of girls. Such a blessing to have such wonderful friends and even better that we all live 30 seconds away from one another.
Before we knew it, it was 9:30pm and way way way past bedtimes! I think the kids would have played all night if we let them, but unfortunately it was a school night so the party had to end. We could not have asked for a better night. The kids all had a great time and us adults were able to kick back, relax and enjoy one another’s company. Thank you everyone for bringing such wonderful snacks and treats for the kids. Halloween 2011 was a huge success!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!

Wow! What wonderful Halloween pictures! I loved all the the pictures! Avery eating with her white gloves on was cute and Snow White biting the apple was cute too! Looks like both the kids and adults had a blast! Such fun memories you are making for your family and friends!
