Lots of Sewing Projects….

I have been wanting to share a lot of the sewing projects I have been working on over the last few months but I have not been able to because the majority of the projects were for Baby Shower gifts. Well, now that the showers are over and the presents have been given I can finally share what has been consuming the majority of my free time. I have officially become a sewaholic. Since I am basically a self taught sewer the items are not perfect by any means but practice makes perfect. Okay now to the pictures, there are quite a few but I know my fellow crafters (Aunt Anne, Pam, ect.) will very much appreciate them.

Okay, up 1st is the stuff I have been working on to send my Sister-In-Law for her baby girl who is expected to arrive January 4, 2012. I can not wait to be an Auntie for the second time!!!!!!

I started out with something simple for my inexperienced self….Burp Cloths. These are made from cloth diapers which makes them super duper absorbent. Would have been great for my children since they both had really bad reflux as babies.

Here are a few up-close and all laid out pictures so you can see them full size. Not the best pictures but I was in a hurry to get them packaged up and sent off. Running late as usual!

Next I made a Swim Suit Cover Up and some Pacifier Clips. Both pretty simple and I like how they both came out! My Sis-In-Law just moved from California to Colorado so not sure how practical the swim cover up is anymore but it is still adorable.

And this is what I was absolutely most excited about….An Infant Car Seat Cover! This is amazing. My sister had one for my niece and I was so jealous I did not have one for either of my babies. This is great to keep baby covered from yucky weather and it is attached to the handles so it won’t fly away in the wind and it also keeps strangers hands from touching your baby. I was so excited to tackle this project and it was surprisingly way easier than I expected.

Then you can just pull the blanket back to peek on baby. I love this and will definitely have one for baby #3!

And here is the matching Pacifier Pocket I made to go with. This little pocket can keep pacifiers nice and clean and keeps you from misplacing them in your giant diaper bag. It can clip onto anything; diaper bag, car seat, purse, ect. Again, love this and wish I had one for my babies.

I couldn’t send them plain so I made some cute little labels for them!

Here is the final gift all wrapped and ready to be packaged up and sent off. I made some hair bows too and they doubled as a bow for the present. Love it! Can’t wait for all this fun stuff to be put to use for my adorable little niece on the way!

Okay Project #2 is the gift I have been working on for my friend Lindsey’s baby shower.

Burp Cloths. This baby is a surprise so all the stuff is gender neutral.

And again another thing I wish I had for my kids. A Diaper/Wipe Clutch. This thing is great to load with all things necessary for diaper changing in public. Just throw this in your diaper bag and when you are out and about everything is neatly contained in one spot so your not digging around your bag to find everything.

Here is everything inside the clutch.

And here you have it all packed and ready to throw in a gift bag.

Thanks for checking out all the fun projects I have been working on. I think Baby Shower gifts are my new favorite things to make! If anyone is interested in purchasing any of the items above please let me know. I love sewing so much I am considering selling the items. My website will not be up and working until after the New Year so if your interested you can e-mail me at nessysdressys@gmail .com.

Have a Great Week!
