Wow, Wednesday was such a beautiful day in Albuquerque, 76 Degrees with zero wind! We basically spent our entire day outside which was so awesome and much needed. We started off the day by attending our first MOPS group at the park. For those of you who don’t already know, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is basically a group of Mothers who get together twice a month for a couple hours to laugh, share stories and get some awesome parenting advice and tips while your child attends a class with other children. Since it was spring break it wasn’t a normal MOPS meeting this week so they decided to have a park play day. It was very nice to get out and meet some other mommies while Owen was able to meet some new friends. I am trying to find some little boys for Owen to play with since most of my fellow mommy friends all have little girls or boys much younger than Owen. We came home and played for a bit, ate lunch and then the kids took their afternoon nap. After naps we headed to a different park to meet up with some friends to play. Owen had so much fun playing with Olivia, Abby, Sam and Cami and was so disappointed when we had to head home for sissy to take another nap. Unfortunately Brandon was stuck working late so after the kids ate dinner we went on a nice long walk to keep enjoying the beautiful weather. When we got home, Owen spent about half an hour riding his tricycle in the driveway while Autumn contently watched in her stroller eating some snacks. It was such a great day! I forgot my camera both times we were at the park but here are some pictures from the day.
After our first park outing Owen got to play with his new toy that Auntie Kiki bought him.
Did I mention Nana was over to play too? Auntie got him this awesome 11 sq ft mat to color on that has the ABC’s and Numbers. It is really neat. After he colors it, you can erase it with a dry cloth and color it over and over again. It was a huge hit. Owen thought it was so funny to make Nana color with his hand holding the crayon. Silly boy!
His masterpiece!
Meanwhile Autumn was having some play time while brother was busy coloring!
Out for a walk. Owen makes us stop at every Fire Hydrant we pass to get out of the stroller and read the numbers off the front of it. What can I say, the kid has an obsession with numbers.
Owen is getting pretty good at pedaling his tricycle all by himself. He is so adorable. So grown up. And so independent.
And boy o boy does Autumn LOVE her snacks! Animal crackers are a really big hit with her.
