Well folks, the meteorologist was correct, the wind has been nasty the past two days. Needless to say we have been stuck doing indoor activities. So what have we been up to you ask?
Autumn has just been playing.
Blocks are quickly becoming a new favorite of hers. Although cars seem to still take the lead. She basically likes everything her brother likes.
Owen has been busy playing with Alphie, who has returned from the doctor (meaning Brandon and I finally got around to getting some new batteries for the poor Robot), and learning to write his Capital Letters. The kid is seriously obsessed with his Letters and Numbers. Since he already knows his abc’s and all their phonic sounds and his numbers basically up to 100, I had to think of something new to challenge him with. I printed off some pages with Letters to trace and boy was it a hit! He had so much fun and was focusing so hard on what he was doing. Brandon and I sat down and came to the decision that we will be enrolling Owen in a 2 day a week preschool in August. We have appointments to tour two different Christian Preschools next week. I am so excited for him because I know he is going to absolutely LOVE going to school. I do however have to soak up all my tears I am shedding just writing about my baby boy going to preschool. They grow up so fast!
Owen missed Alphie so much while he was gone. He has not played with another toy at all since Saturday. He seriously plays with him non stop! Its pretty funny he even pretends to talk in a Robot voice just like Alphie. Lol.
It’s a little hard to see because he doesn’t push hard enough with the pencil for it to show up very well. It’s not too shabby for his first try. He shocks me all the time with how bright he is. He did letters A-J and today we will work on the rest.
We also spent sometime with Auntie Kiki & Baby Abigail at the mall. We went shopping for Great Great’s 80th Birthday present since we will be celebrating it with her this coming weekend. While her present was busy getting engraved we decided to get a bite to eat for lunch in the food court to pass the time.
Autumn was busy trying to grab anything in arms reach and Owen was busy eating his Chicken Nuggets and Fries from BK. Not the healthiest but it kept my busy boy occupied and fed. Lol. My sister and I got some delicious crepes from a crepe stand. Wow, they were amazing. It was stuffed with Eggs, Turkey, Cheese, Spinach and Tomatoes. Yum yum yum!
Abi girl was so good on our little morning outing. She loved looking around watching all the different people. As soon as we sat down to eat lunch she passed out. She is such a little sweetie.
