Well, the Burgess Household always seems to stay busy. I guess that is what you expect with two kids under 3. Here is a recap of our Friday & Saturday. Warning: It’s a long post!
Friday was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day. The high was 72 with no wind so Brandon and I decided what better way to spend the day then outside. We packed the cooler up with picnic stuff and headed to the park. We also met up with Kaitlyn & Olivia and Libby & Cami. The kids had a great time running around playing outside. What a great way to spend the morning.
Owen was so very excited to see his BFF when we arrived. Since my days now revolve around two separate nap schedules its rare that we are able to meet up with our friends anymore so Owen ate up the time he was able to spend with his bestie!
They are getting so big. They wanted nothing to do with the baby swings this time around. Awe.
The picnic part was a big hit. The kids loved being outside eating delicious food.
Autumn really loves being outside. Summer can’t come fast enough.
Friday evening we went over to visit my Grandma. She celebrated her 80th Birthday this weekend so we also got to see my Uncle Gary and his family that night also. They drove down from Oklahoma to come celebrate with my Grandmother. It was so much fun seeing everyone. My cousin Jonelle has a daughter who is 6 weeks younger than Owen. They had a blast together. Owen cried so hard when we had to leave because he wanted to keep playing with her. I wish they lived closer cause Owen honestly LOVED her.
Owen + Kamiya = Best Buds. They just run in circles laughing historically the entire time. They had the same exact personalties which is why I think they got along so well.
Autumn had so much fun with my dad. She adores him!
Saturday was also a busy eventful day. Since my sister has gone back to work her and her husband need a sitter on Saturdays since they both work. My mom and I decided we would rotate watching my niece since neither of us were willing to let the other have her all the time. Yes, she is a very loved little girl. Well, this week was my turn. Yay! I had her from 6:30-2:30 and boy o boy did we have fun. I thought it was going to be extremely exhausting having 3 kids all day but it honestly wasn’t as hard as I was expecting. They were all on their best behavior and they all napped really well which helped a lot. Can’t wait for my turn again.
I impressed myself. I had all three of them and myself bathed by 10:00am. Go mommy go!
I was even able to give both girls a pedicure. See how happy they were! Lol.
Later that Evening we headed back to my Grandma’s house to officially celebrate her 80th Birthday. It was so fun having my Mom’s whole family all together! My Aunt (Mom’s Sister), Uncle and Cousins came in from Nevada and My Uncle (Mom’s Brother), Aunt and Cousins came in from Oklahoma. I think that was the first time in about 5 years we have had the entire family together. What a treat that was for my Grandmother. Happy 80th Grandma!

The kids loved the ice cream, especially Autumn. Thanks a lot Auntie Kiki.
Here is the cake I made for my Grandma. It was a diabetic white cake with strawberry filling toped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Did you guess Grandma loves Strawberries?
All my Grandma wanted for her Birthday was a picture with the entire family. Thanks to our awesome friends, we were able to borrow their tripod and camera remote, so we were able to make that wish come true. Brace your self there are a lot of pics because she also wanted some with the individual families, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. It took forever and the kids were getting really restless but what Grandma wants, Grandma gets.
