Warning: This is a really really long post.
Matthew 28: 5-10
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
He has risen, He has Risen Indeed! Hallelujah. Happy Easter to all. I hope you all enjoyed this Easter holiday as much as we did. I have to say though, I am quite exhausted from the whole weekend. I even took a nap today which is not like me at all. Saturday night Brandon and I’s very good friend Gavin came over for dinner and to stay the night with us since we were all going to church early Sunday morning. We ordered some pizza and colored Easter Eggs with Owen. Very fun might I add. Owen loved seeing the eggs change different colors and was even more excited when we let him put Veggie Tale stickers all over the eggs. After the kids went to sleep, Brandon and Gavin slipped back into childhood mode and ate junk food and played video games while I was busy in the kitchen preparing Brunch for Easter day. We all went to bed about 11 which was later than anticipated since we had to be up early the next morning for church.
Easter morning, we headed to church about 7:20am since church seems to fill up really quickly on Easter day. We met my parents, my sister and my niece there. After church we all headed back to our house for an Easter brunch potluck. My ‘O my was it delicious! After brunch the kids took a nap and Nana and Pampo went off to visit Great Great and take her some left over food. After naps we all met back at our house so Owen could do an Easter Egg Hunt. He had so much fun. We are gonna have to hide the eggs a little harder next year cause he found them all so quickly. The kid was definitely on a mission! After the egg hunt we all kind of laid around and relaxed while the kids were busy playing with all their new Easter goodies. We ended the day with a delicious dinner my sister and I threw together at the last minute, Meatloaf, Roasted Red Potatoes, Green Beans and of course Deviled Eggs. Once everyone left and the kids were in bed, Brandon and I melted into the couch and I quickly fell asleep. Here are a ton of pictures from our day…
