This past Thursday, Owen attended his very first Soccer Practice. Since Autumn had surgery earlier that morning (will blog about soon) I decided to stay home and let Daddy take him by himself. “Just the boys,” as Owen says. Brandon said he had a blast! We signed him up through the City of Rio Rancho so there are no games, it basically introduces the child to the sport and teaches them the basic fundamentals of soccer. We decided it is a good way to try Owen in a few sports and see where his interests are. He seems to really like it right now. Much better than when he tried Tae Kwon Do. He is on a team of 4-6 year old boys and girls and they voted on a team name. They are Team Jets. So cute. Brandon said he listened really good to Coach Ray and really got into it. Can’t wait to see how he progresses and develops over the next month in soccer.
So Grown Up!
So proud of my boy! He is getting so big. He played so hard and his face was beat red when he got back! Glad he is enjoying his first sport.
