BBQ with Friends:
This past Saturday evening we were invited to a BBQ at our friends Blayde & Leah’s house. It was a Goodbye BBQ for some of our other friends Chip & Rachel who will be moving back to Missouri in two weeks. There were 4 couples and they were all from our old Bible Study Group from about 3 years ago. We hardly all get together now days because all our schedules are all over the place. Anyway, it was so fun to FINALLY all get together again!
Before I get to pictures from the BBQ I have to share some pictures of Autumn before we left the house. She is now insisting that I straiten her hair because she likes to watch me get ready. Well, since her hair is already stick strait I decided to try and curl it a bit. Here is what she now wants me to do to her hair everyday….
She is seriously ADORABLE!!!!! Love this kid.
Here is the complete ensemble. Thanks again Auntie Megan & Uncle Dan for the extremely cute dress!
Okay, onto BBQ pictures.
Here is Part of the crew hanging out in Blayde & Leah’s BEAUTIFUL backyard after eating some delicious Hamburgers & Hot Dogs. Blayde & Leah landscaped their huge backyard themselves. Way to go guys, it looks AWESOME!!!!
Leah & her baby girl Ava (10 months) and Me & Owen.
Sweet Olivia. She cracks me up. She has to “pose” with her hands on her hip every time she gets her picture taken. Such a little girly girl!
Even all “dolled up” this little girl is not afraid of getting dirty?!?!
The girls had a blast in the sandbox,
Owen had fun watering the entire garden & all the flower beds,
and the dads had a great time playing a game of horse shoes.
The Dad were even nice enough to let Owen play with them when he was finished watering everything.
O yeah, and who could forget how much fun everyone had swinging on the hammocks?!
These three girls were being so silly. They were pretending to “be asleep” and then I would “wake” them up and they would start cracking up!
These two look like they could be sisters.
And when it gets passed the kids betimes they all start acting really really silly….
See what I mean. That’s when we all knew it was time to head home. Haha.
Thanks again Blayde & Leah for hosting such a fun BBQ. We all had a wonderful time!

More Swim Lessons:
Since Brandon is off on Monday & Tuesday he decided to join in on all the swim lesson fun with the kids and I. Before hopping in the water with Autumn and I for Parent and Tot swim lessons he decided to snap a few pictures of the kids in the water. Enjoy!
Everyone showered and ready to get in!
Andrew, Owen & Daniel in the Tadpole Class with their swim instructor Miss Felicia
Owen really enjoyed his swim lessons this year!
Autumn and Abigail really enjoyed swim lessons too with the exception of the water being way too cold for their tiny little bodies.
Autumn LOVED to climb out of the pool and jump to me in the water!
Abigail insisted on carrying her pool noodle with her wherever she went. She is too cute!
Swim Lessons ended this morning (Thursday) and I am so happy we decided to do them this year. The kids had a blast so it was money well spent. On the last day of swim lessons the kids had a “Party Day” so they opened up the big water slide and they all got to have snacks and juice boxes after swimming. During the snack time they were all given Swim Certificates from their classes. Owen got passed onto the next level, way to go son! He is so close to being able to swim unassisted (meaning without someone holding onto him or using floatation devices)! All the kids started screaming when they opened up the water slide for everyone to go down. Owen got to go down the slide all by himself! He was the only kid in his class brave enough to go down without sitting on an instructors lap. About the 3rd time going down he politely asked the instructors catching kids at the bottom of the slide to stop catching him because he could do it all by his self. O the independence of a pre-schooler! Autumn also got to go down the slide, on Mommy’s lap of course. It was a super fun last day of swim, I was so sad I forgot my camera to take some pics of them going down the big water slide. O well, there is always next year!

From my perspective, we are participating in this truly amazing experiment of open innovation at a truly extraordinary time in history.
