While Owen was away, Mommy & Autumn play…

While Owen was in New Mexico with my parents for 6 days, Autumn and I got to spend a lot of quality time together. We missed Owen dearly so our only option to keep from being sad was to stay super busy. Having him gone was a real eye opener for me as to how much he does around the house and what a huge help he is with Autumn. It was difficult keeping Autumn entertained without him here while I tried to do things around the house like laundry, cooking, and cleaning. She has always had Owen to play with her, so needless to say she is definitely not a kid who knows how to play alone :) I felt it was much harder having 1 kid then it is 2, I couldn’t get anywhere on time and I am ALWAYS on time. Sounds silly I know, but I have a new found appreciation to my Big Boy who helps me out on a daily basis. Here are some of the fun things Autumn and I did on our week alone.

As much as Autumn missed her big bro, she LOVED her evenings with Mommy & Daddy all to herself.

We had a zoo day with my Sweet Friend Miss Elizabeth. Autumn loves her so much, we had a great girls day out…

Miss Elizabeth missed Autumn’s bday party the week prior because she was in AZ so she let Autumn pick out something from the Gift Shop at the zoo as her Bday Present. Autumn chose a Hot Pink & Purple Giraffe on a walking stick. She LOVES this giraffe and immediately named it Grumpy….you know like the Dwarf (her exact words). Hahaha, I love this child. THANK you so much again Elizabeth for the awesome gift you are so generous and Autumn adores you. These pictures were taking about 3 minutes apart, she was BEAT after a super fun day (4 hours) at the zoo.

We met up with the Snide Family one morning so Autumn could watch her BFF Connor ride his Skateboard at the Skate Park. This was Autumn’s first time ever at the Skate Park and I’m honestly a little concerned how much she loved it. She could’ve stayed there all day. She was beyond fascinated with all the people skating and doing tricks. Connor has been skateboarding for about a year and was so excited to show Autumn some of his new tricks. Autumn and Emma (Connors little sister/1 of Owen’s Best Friends) also got to ride their Scooters around and they had such a blast.

Autumn is in love with the Lalaloopsie Colored Hair Extensions she go for her Birthday. I felt it was fitting to wear colored hair to the Skate Park :)

Took Autumn to play at her favorite indoor play place called Little Monkey Buziness. We had a great time playing together and eating a picnic style lunch there.

I had a super wonderful week with my girl.

While Owen was away in NM he had an absolute blast. He got super spoiled at Nana & Pampo’s and although he did miss us, he REALLY enjoyed some alone time with all the attention on him. He went to the Movies, Went to McDonalds, Went Swimming, Went to Dion’s, Went Fishing, and had LOTS of computer time. He is already asking when he can stay another week at Nana & Pampo’s all by himself. We are truly blessed to have them and that they are SO involved in our kids lives even 450 miles away. Thanks again Mom & Dad for all you do for us and our kids and for creating these extremely precious memories with our children that will last a lifetime. I can still vividly remember my summers at my Grandparents and they are some of the sweetest childhood memories I have.

Stay tuned, my next blog will be from Autumn and I’s week long trip to New Mexico to pick up Owen. It was a blast & it will definitely  be a BIG blog filled with lots and lots of pictures.
