So as I mentioned in my previous blog post, my wonderful parents came out for a real quick visit to help celebrate Autumn’s 3rd Birthday. They got in Saturday late afternoon on July 20th, Autumn’s big party was Sunday, Autumn’s actual Birthday was Monday, and then they left Tuesday morning….with Owen. Owen got to go home with them, spent a week there by himself, and then Autumn and I headed to NM stayed a week and all 3 of us headed back home. Although there trip here was quick and SUPER busy, we still really enjoyed having them. I cannot begin to explain how blessed my kids are to have grandparents that drive 450 miles just to be here to celebrate their Birthday with them. Here is a run down of our time with them here in Colorado.
Sunday:
Sunday was Autumn’s Big 3rd Birthday Party, if you missed the post of her party just check the previous post.

Her party started at 11am and I believe the last guest left about 2:30pm. By time we cleaned up and got the kids down for late naps we were all pooped. So as you can guess we kept the remainder of the day pretty low key. After our leftover dinner from the night before we decided to head to Clement Lake to walk, feed the ducks, and let the kids play at the park. It was a perfect ending to a fun filled day.
Monday:
Monday was Autumn’s 3rd Birthday. Even though we celebrated the day before with her big party, we still made sure to make her actual Birthday special and fun. We took the morning really low key and took our time getting ready. After naps Autumn, My Mom & I got ready and headed out for our special ‘Girls night out celebration’, while the guys (Brandon, My Dad & Owen) got ready to head off to the Rockies Game.
For our girls celebration we started off by taking Autumn to one of her favorite parks…
After the park we took her to her favorite Restaurant for dinner, Pei Wei. Mimi met up with us there to join in on the girls night out for Autumn’s Bday :)
And to end our night of girls fun we went to the Movies to watch Despicable Me 2. Aunt Bev met us there, she loves her a good movie night out. So we started with 3 girls and ended with 5. It was an awesome night with the most awesome ladies.
She LOVED the movie. All us adults thought it was hilarious too! One of my favorite movies I’ve seen all summer :)
And while us girls were having a great time, so were the guys…

Tuesday:
We talked about this day for quite awhile so it was hard to believe it was finally here. Owen was heading to NM with my parents for his first ever week away from us. He adores my parents so I knew he was going to have a blast, but there is something about watching your kid drive off knowing you wont see him for a week that really gets those tear ducts working :( He was SO excited with not a zero ounce of fear, nervousness, or sadness, he was definitely all ready to go. I’ll do another blog about his week away, but just so you know he had an absolute blast. So thankful for amazing parents and even more amazing grandparents that want to spend so much time with their grandkids. We are so so so blessed.

And they were off, with big baby Mommy & Sister crying as they drove away :”(
