Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Well, since Brandon and I are both kind of Valentines Day ‘Grinch's’ we really didn’t have anything exciting planned for us or the kids. Brandon and I both really dislike “commercial” holidays; Valentines, Saint Patrick’s Day, Etc. We kind of see them as just another way for people to get sucked into spending more money and lets face it, we can say I love you any and every day, not just one day a year. Anyway, even though we are kind of grouches about it, we still like our kids to get to have fun with it, especially now that Owen is in school. He has been pretty hyped up about Valentines Day this year.  Owen was in charge of snack at school today and all the parents who were in charge of snack for Valentines Day were asked to bring something fun a festive. So I turned to my trusted Pinterest and came up with some super cute snack ideas. Owen also got to write out Valentines Day Cards for all his classmates to hand out in his class. He was ecstatic about it and chose some super cool Tonka Trucks Valentines! Before we took Owen to school we let the kids open up their card from GG and Papa Nick and the presents that Mimi sent them. With the day half way over, I have to say Valentines Day has been great to the kiddos. Enjoy the Pictures.

And here is Owen with his Valentine’s Day Envelope he made at school. It was filled with goodies and Valentine’s Day Cards from all his classmates. So sweet. He is growing up so fast!
