As I mentioned in my blog on Wednesday, Spring Break week here in Albuquerque has been a blast with the beautiful weather we have been having. The rest of the week did not disappoint. The weather was in the mid to high 70’s, Sunny and Zero wind! Gorgeous I tell you, gorgeous. Its going to be a huge slap in the face come Monday when the high is supposed to be 50, windy and a chance of moisture. Yuck! O well, so glad we had an entire week of nice weather and tons of time spent outdoors. Okay here we go. I have Tons more pictures so please beware. I am addicted to taking pictures, I guess it’s my way of recording my days as a stay at home Mom and keeping track of my kids Childhood!
Wednesday:
I already blogged about our Wednesday but that was before our evening at the park. Brandon helps with the youth group at our Church on Wednesday evenings so the kids and I decided to meet up with Kaitlyn and Olivia at the park after dinner. It was so fun and the kids had a blast.
I didn’t take my camera and I really wasn’t planning on taking any pictures but this was too funny. Owen and Olivia were swinging in the baby swings and Autumn was feeling left out since there is only two swings. Sweet Olivia volunteered to let Autumn swing with her. Hahaha. They are too funny. Good thing these two are skinny.
Really quick, I wanted to give a little update on the Pacifier situation with little Autumn. So if you’re a blog follower of mine, than you already know we are desperately trying to break Autumn from having her “Pap Pap” aka Pacifier all day. She has her Pap Pap melt downs from time to time, but she is honestly doing pretty well all things considered. This girl is an addict I tell you. She knows very well that at nap time and bed time she is allowed her Pap Pap. I can gladly say we no longer have any battles of her not wanting to go to bed anymore….
Here is sweet Autumn when I lay her down for bed. She likes to hoard as many Pap Pap’s as she can get her little hands on. She cracks me up!!!!! Look how happy she is.
Thursday:
During the day we just did our normal weekend stuff. Gym in the morning, errands, lunch and naps. One of the errands was to get the kids some sun glasses for the spring and summer since neither of them had a good pair.
Mission Complete. They both picked out their own. I Love them! My kids have awesome taste.
That evening we had dinner guests coming over, the Dutton Family. I made Chicken & Asparagus Tortellini in an Alfredo Sauce, a Fresh Salad with Spring Lettuce, and some Broiled Garlic Bread. Brandon requested my famous Lemon Cake with Whipped Cream frosting for dessert, so that is exactly what I made. The Dinner was great, the company was awesome and the night was beautiful. Can’t think of a better way to spend an evening.
After we ate dinner and cleaned up inside a bit and we all decided to head outside to enjoy the awesome weather and to let the kids play. The kids played in the sand box, played on the slide, wrote with sidewalk chalk, blew some bubbles, and ate way way way to many sweets.
The kids having fun.
Once the sun was staring to go down we decided to build a fire in our fire pit since we actually had some wood on hand. Here is Piro Owen helping his Piro Daddy put a log on the fire.
Sweet little Jace was equally excited about the fire. He is adorable!
And for some reason you CAN NOT have a fire going without busting out the smore stuff.
Please excuse Travis’ weird light-up jacket. Haha.
Sweets,
Sweets,
and more Sweets. These kids were definitely on a sugar high!
The Dutton Family. Travis, Brittany, Jace and Baby Boy on the way!
Friday:
Friday morning we got to help out my friend Kaitlyn and watch Olivia for her! Yay! Owen was excited to say the least. Kaitlyn brought over Olivia’s Power Wheel so the kids started off the morning playing in the cul de sac. They had a blast and played for about 1 hour and 15 minutes strait.
They are so stinkin cute!!!! After about 30 seconds of riding together in Olivia’s Jeep they decided it would be more fun if they each drove their own car, except switched.
I know it looks like they are gonna crash here, but they didn’t. They just kept driving in a circle together.
They drove each others cars the entire morning. Too funny!
So Autumn went to the gym with Brandon in the morning so for the first half hour it was just Liv and Owen. Once Autumn and Brandon got back she was not about to leave these two to play on their own….
Doesn’t she look like such a High Maintenance Little Diva? High Maintenance maybe, Diva no way. She is such a little tom boy! Love her so much!!!!
Now: Cute Picture….13 Years from now: Scary!!!!
Once they lost interest in driving their Power Wheels around they had some fun riding scooters and bikes.
Once they came in from all their outdoor fun they were all in much need of a snack and some rest time.
Eating snacks and watching Team Umizoomi.
After about 15 minutes rest time was over and they all headed upstairs to play.
Thanks again for letting us have Olivia for the morning Kaitlyn. We LOVED having her!
After Olivia left the kiddos ate lunch and headed out to help daddy clean the cars. Autumn was pretty pooped after lunch so she basically went strait to bed which left Daddy and Owen to clean the cars alone. I know you are thinking I am lazy for not helping but have no fear I was busy weeding the front yard and trimming back some over grown bushes.
After car cleaning and naps we all headed to Uptown Albuquerque because I needed to order my bridesmaids dress for my Best Friends Wedding that I will be standing in later this year. We had a great time and walked around to soak up the beautiful day. On the way home we stopped at a park to play at the request of Mr. Owen.
I believe that just about sums up our AWESOME Spring Break Week! Thanks for those of you who made it through my rambling and hundred of pictures. Have a great week. According to our Meteorologist we will be stuck inside this upcoming week. Boo!
