Thanksgiving Helper...

Okay, so I am assuming everyone who follows are blog are either really close friends or family members, so please please please, no making fun of how I look in these pictures. I have no make-up on, really messy hair and am wearing my pj's. I look absolutely horrible because I have been terribly sick and had just woke up and started cooking, but Owen was too cute so I had to post some pictures. Since I have been really sick and we were hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year, Owen decided to lend me a helping hand in the kitchen. I was sauteing the celery and onions for my stuffing and Owen was very eager to help me. Here are some pictures of his wonderful assistance.

Owen's new Knit Sweater...

A couple days ago, Owen received a surprise package in the mail. His Great-Nana Burgess sent him a beautifully hand knit Sweater. It is a little big for him now, but I am sure he will be able to wear it next winter. Did I mention Brandon's Grandmother who knit the sweater is in her late 80's. Yes, she is an amazing woman and we are honored she took the time to make Owen such a spacial gift. So Happy with his new sweater!

Stay away from the Burgess Family!

As if the holidays aren't stressful enough, the Burgess' had to get sick right in the middle of it! So here is the run down of the last couple days. I went to urgent care yesterday due to body aches, chills, fever and a very soar throat. They diagnosed me with the flu, not H1N1, just the regular old flu and sent me home with Tamiflu and some cough medicine. Then, this morning Owen had his 18 month Dr. Appointment and had to get 3 shots today. O' yea and did I mention he was diagnosed with a double ear infection! Yikes. He just had one 3 weeks ago. Due to his excessive amount of ear infections, the doctor has referred us to an ENT to talk about getting tubes put in his ears. Poor Baby! Well, as for Brandon he hasn't gotten sick yet but it's probably just a matter of time before he does. So beware the Burgess household is a giant cesspool of germs right now! Please pray for health in our family! Sorry for venting, but I am sick of being sick and locked up in my house for days!

This is Owen and I after his shots this morning. He let me cuddle with him for 45 min. on the couch. Such a sweet moment since they don't happen too often anymore. Here is Owen sitting with his sick mommy on the couch watching some cartoons. Such a sweet boy taking care of his mommy!

Owen in my Slippers...

Owen has become obsessed with shoes! Just like his mommy. We try and keep our shoes put away in the closet since he carries them all over the house and sometimes they aren't so easy to find when your trying to run out the door. Here are some pictures of Owen playing with my slippers I left out.

Isn't he so cute. He is wearing the shirt I bought him at the concert we went to a couple weeks ago. It says "My Mom Rocks" on it. Too Cute!

It's Begining to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

Call me crazy, my husband already has, but last week I decorated the inside of the house for Christmas. I figured since it takes so long setting everything up that you might as well enjoy it as long as possible. Right? Plus, it's one more thing I don't have to worry about doing after Thanksgiving. Well, the inside is done and now I am just waiting for Brandon to get up on the roof and hang our outside Christmas lights. He promised to do it this Friday. Yea, I love Christmas time! Here are a few pictures of our Christmas house. Owen is in a few because he saw me pull the camera out and of course had to stand right in front of it. Shy, not so much! This picture came out a little dark, but you can tell its our giant Christmas tree!I wrapped all my lamp shades with some extra ribbon I had. Like it?Here is the Dinning Room. Like my presents on my wall. I love to wrap things, so I decided to wrap some of my wall art in my house to look like Giant Presents on the wall. You Like? Some more of my wrapped wall art.The stair case looked much prettier last year without the beautiful baby gate, but hey, safety 1st!

Owen in his Spiderman Shoes...

I am so lucky to have such awesome friends! My neighbor and very good friend across the street has a little boy who is about 8 months older than Owen. Well, I am so blessed because she gives me a ton of hand-me-down clothes and shoes for Owen. About a week ago she brought over a giant bag of stuff for Owen! Their was this adorable pair of Spiderman Light-Up shoes that happen to fit Owen perfectly. He was having so much fun stomping all over the house making them light up. Too Cute!A Hulk T-Shirt and Spiderman shoes. He is all BOY!He is also fascinated with the Velcro straps.

Sleepsack...

For those of you who don't know what a sleep sack is, it is basically a big blanket that zips up in the front to prevent babies from kicking off their blankets in the middle of the night so they stay warm. It is also supposed to decrease the SIDS rate since they can't suffocate themselves with loose blankets. Cause we all know kids move around like crazy at night. Well anyway, Owen has been sleeping in a sleep sack since he was a newborn and he finally outgrew his 12 month sack. I was so sad and going crazy cause he loves that thing. Well, I was able to find toddler sizes online, so I ordered him a 2T-3T size sack. Well I received the package today and it is HUGE! We were cracking up because it looked big enough to fit me. I guess its not that funny since I am a midget. Anyway, I tried it on for Brandon and he told me to put my hair in pig tails cause I already looked like a ridiculous 5 year old. Well if that wasn't humiliating enough he insisted that I post the picture on the blog! So Funny. Owen was looking at me like I absolutely lost my mind.It may not be a bad costume idea for Halloween right? I could go as Owen. LOL!
