We FINALLY Got Snow!!!!!!

About a week away from Christmas and we FINALLY got some snow. I really didn't see it coming since it was about 63 on Tuesday. Brandon and I absolutely love the snow and what better way to welcome the Holiday Season. Since we are having our Annual Christmas Party tonight we decided we better get to shoveling the drive way so everyone has a nice place to park tonight. Brandon and Owen went out to start shoveling while I finished feeding Autumn some breakfast. Once she woke up we headed out to join the boys. Enjoy the pics.

Daddy & Owen doing some manual labor. Owen loved "scooping the snow" as he called it.
Here is Autumn all nice and warm watching the boys.
Owen quickly learned that he loves the taste of snow. He would not stop picking up handfuls and eating it. Yucky.

He also loved stomping around in it. I love these boys.

Me and the kids, and yes I am still in my pj's.After Owen had enough "scooping the snow" with Daddy we walked down to our good friends house to help them build a snow man. Here is Owen with his friends Adien & Averie in front of the snowman. Owen called him "Frosty".
Owen loves Aiden, basically cause he is a boy and older than him. He kept cracking up at every little thing he did. So funny. They had a blast.

Girls Night

Periodically all us stay at home Mommies try and plan a girls night. It usually consists of us all going to someones house in our pj's, cook dinner, watch a movie and chit chat kid free. Well, last night we had a girls night at our friend Rachel's house. We made breakfast burritos and Rachel made a yummy giant Cinnamon roll and then we all snuggled up on the couch and watched The Holiday. Well, toward the end of the movie we realized the snow was starting to come down pretty hard. Since we were on the complete other side of town and had a pretty long drive ahead of us, that we better start heading home early before the roads got really bad. Well, the roads were terrible and it took us nearly 2 hours to get home after going 20mph the entire way. O yeah and we also got stuck about a mile down the road from my house and had to have a Sheriff come push our car out of the snow. So embarrassing, nerve racking and hilarious all at the same time. See what us mommies go through for a night out. LOL.
Here is Rachel, Rachel and Leah cooking the bacon and sausage for the Burritos.
Rachel even played the piano for us. She is amazing.
Here is Kaitlyn, Rachel and I about to head home. Here we are going 20mph on I-40.
And here I am in the back seat terrified...

Coconut Pepermint Cookie Bars

Last night we were preparing for our 2nd Annual Christmas Party. I was starting to make some dessert and of course my little helper was near by. I made my famous Coconut Peppermint Cookie Bars and Owen helped with every single step. He had a blast helping me and was on a major sugar high after because he had to "test" everything before he added it to the cookies. Enjoy.
Crushing Pouring
Mixing

Dumping
and more dumping.
shaking
and here he is saying "Ta Da" because the cookie bars were all ready to go in the oven.
Watching & Waiting. This was the most difficult step for him.

Owen & Olivia

On Wednesday Olivia and her Mommy came over to hang out for a bit. Kaitlyn and I had a great time playing with Autumn and talking and Owen and Olivia had a great time running around chasing each other, wrestling, and pretend cooking together. They had so much fun. All of a sudden in the middle of running around Owen laid on his tummy on the floor and Liv came and sat on his back. I didn't even have the camera out and they both looked at us and said "cheese". After that I had to pull the camera out! Isn't this the cutest picture ever

Abigail: Day Two

Yesterday I went to visit my niece and sister in the hospital during the kids nap since Brandon was home. They are both doing really well and my niece is so stinkin adorable. Here are a few pics of her on day 2.

My Niece is FINALLY here!

My poor sister would not go into labor on her own, so 10 days past her due date they had to induce her labor. After all that time waiting past her due date we were all so anxious to finally meet her sweet baby girl. She went in at 7:30 Sunday night, December 12th, and finally had her at 2:46 on Tuesday morning, December 14th. Yes my friends that is a total of 31 hours. My poor sister was a trooper and the labor process reminded me a ton of what I went through to get Owen into this world.
Here are the wonderful parents to be, My sister and brother-in-law 24 hours into waiting for their precious baby to arrive.
I could not stop starring at this monitor. It was fun watching my nieces heart rate & seeing how intense my sisters contractions were. I will admit it was a little strange being on the other side after having 2 kids of my own. My sis did awesome though. My mom and I wanted to give my sister and her husband some quite time to rest before the baby's arrival so we went down to the cafeteria for a midnight snack, literally it was midnight! I am not going to lie, we were pretty tired of waiting, can you tell from our faces? We were bored and needed to pass the time. We are nerds, I know.

Isn't she so adorable? Check out that full head of black hair. So stinkin cute. Good thing I bought her lots of bows, she is gonna need them. I am so excited to be an Aunt for the first time and I am even more excited we get to raise our kids together. Her and Autumn are gonna be little trouble makers, I can already see it. Here are the cousins meeting for the first time. Autumn had so much fun starring at her. Cutest picture ever! Look at that admiration in my sisters eyes. She is gonna be such a good Mommy! Congrats Chris & Jessica we love you!!!!!!

Brandon's Work Christmas Party

Last Friday was Brandon's work Christmas Party. Brandon and I jumped at the opportunity to have a night out away from the kids since neither of us can even remember the last date night we had. It was also a fun excuse to dress up. When your a stay at home mom and your wardrobe usually consists of sweats accessorised with throw up on them, dressing up every once in a while is really fun. My parents came over and watched the kids for us and we were off for a night of fun. The party was at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque which was fun to go see. We enjoyed dinner, dancing and the nice presents. It was another great night with me and my hunny!

Here we are all dressed up before we left. Isn't my hunny so handsome?
And here we are at the party!
