Long time no blog…

It is just not like me anymore to go an entire week without blogging, but the sickness hit our house pretty bad the past couple weeks. Autumn had an ear infection, Owen had an ear & sinus infection and I had/has some really severe allergies problems this spring. Well, thanks to lots of antibiotics and a daily dose of zyrtec I think we are all finally better! Its hard enough having one sick kid, but add a second and a mommy who doesn’t feel 100% and it makes for some long rough days. Thanks to my wonderful husband who lets me have a good meltdown/cry at the end of each day I have managed to make it through! Anyway, besides sickness what is going on in our house these days? Well, 2 big things happened this week…

#1: Autumn is officially CRAWLING!

Yikes I know. They say every kid crawls different, but Autumn’s crawl is so hilarious. She doesn’t do your typical crawl up on all fours. Hers is a mix between the army crawl and an inch worm. It is so adorable to watch. She can make it successfully all over the house now. I thought life was crazy already and now its about to get even more crazy with another kid moving around the house. I promise to video tape it soon, but here are a few pics to hold you over.

#2: Owen is officially enrolled in PRESCHOOL!

Yikes again! After looking into preschool after preschool and touring four we finally found one. I am having a hard time accepting the fact that we are already at this point in parenthood, but I really think Owen is more than ready and I think he will really enjoy it. He is just going 2 mornings a week from 9:00-Noon. We left the preschool with a great feeling, we just “knew” it was the perfect fit for him. The teachers and the director were amazing and the preschool was so organized, clean and they had a great program set up for the kids. I am so excited for him! And yes, I will be the crazy mom pulling out of the parking lot sobbing come August 18th, his 1st day of school!

Where on Earth does the time go? I was tearing up as I was filling out his enrollment paperwork. I am blessed beyond my wildest imagination.

Since the week was kind of crazy we decided at the last possible second last night that we wanted to have a few friends over for pizza and to just relax and have some fun with. Owen and Autumn had so much fun with all their little buddies and Brandon and I enjoyed spending some much needed time with a few friends of ours. Here are some pictures of the kiddos.

Owen and Olivia really miss each other. My kids nap schedules are pretty crazy so we don’t get out of the house for play dates as much as we used to.

Owen and Olivia got tired of playing in the playroom so they decided to go upstairs to play in his bedroom. Olivia was great at putting the train tracks together and Owen really enjoyed reading his books.

Autumn and Jace had fun just being stinkin Adorable.

Matt and Kaitlyn put Olivia to bed at our house and us adults got to stay up and play some games after the kids were out. It was so much fun and much needed after a long and busy week. We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends to kick back and relax with!

Pictures I Must Share…

I don’t really have much to say since my last blog was yesterday, its been a while I know, but I have some stinkin’ A-Dorable pictures from yesterday and today that I feel I must share with you. Yesterday it was my Saturday to have my niece and boy did we have a great time. I somehow managed to make it out of the house with all 3 kids for a nice long walk, it was a bit challenging but well worth it!  Here are a few good pictures from our day.

Since I am raving about my adorable pics I decided to start with the very best one. O My Goodness how cute is this. Owen and Autumn LOVE having their baby cousin around, can you tell?

Autumn always has to be right next to Miss Abi. I really hope they grow up to be best of friends! (Just a side note: the picture on the left is not of Autumn pulling Abi’s hair, she was gently rubbing her head. I am sure the hair pulling wont start for a few more years, lol.)

Owen is always such a good little helper with the girls. He loves to bring the girls their paci’s.

And this poor lil girl is teething for sure! Poor baby.

This morning after church we pulled in the garage and Owen noticed his friends Finnley and Linkin were out playing in the front yard while their Mommy and Daddy were doing some yard work. The second I unbuckled his seat belt he darted down the driveway to go say hello. Owen and Finnley were having so much fun but I insisted to Owen we needed to go inside before my allergies got worse from being outside in the wind, if that is even possible since I am pretty sure they are as bad as they can possibly get. Finnley started following us and telling her Mommy bye bye she was going to Owens house. Since I had nothing planned for the day, I assured her Mommy that I would take Finn home with me so that her and Owen could play together. Boy did they play, they had a blast together. What a blessing it is to have such good neighbors and friends that have kids that my kids adore.

They genuinely LOVE each others company! Is this not the cutest picture ever?!?!

And here they are doing some “work” as they called it. They crack me up. I am sure their will be more pics of these two coming later this week. Owen loves having his Finn over to play so I told her Mommy that I would watch her later this week when she is working. Stay tuned.

I know I said I didn’t have much to say and some how I keep going on and on. You all know me better than that, I always have something to say! Have a happy Sunday evening.

Daddy’s Days Off…

Come Wednesday evening, Owen, Autumn and I are all really looking forward to the next two days. Why you ask? Because Thursday and Friday are Daddy’s Days Off, yay! Unfortunately we had a weekend of errands and grocery shopping planed but we did manage to sneak in some good ole family fun! Since the kiddos have been sick all week we tried not to plan too much in case they still weren’t feeling well. I'm happy to say that after a few days of antibiotics for Autumn’s ear infection she is feeling much like her old self. As for Owen I think he is just like Mommy and has the worst of the worst spring time allergies, but he is also much much better. As of now they both just have a light cough, which I am saying is because of how dry the air is. I think it has been well over 100 days since we have seen the slightest drop of rain. Anyway, back to the fun stuff….pictures. Warning, there are lots of pictures in this post, you are welcome grandparents!

We are planning a family vacation for the 4th of July to go up to Denver to visit some family/friends and to celebrate Autumn’s 1st Birthday a little early with Brandon’s side of the family. While we are there my Father-In-Law, Brandon and I are going to take the kids to a Rockies Baseball game and they will have 4th of July Fireworks. We are so excited! Brandon has been talking to Owen a lot about the game so he will be excited when the day comes. Owen constantly walks around the house singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game, it is so adorable.

Here is Brandon and Owen watching a game while Mommy was busy and sister was napping. Brandon was teaching Owen all the info about baseball he will need to know for the big day! I love them they are so handsome!

After they watched a bit of the game Owen decided he wanted to go play baseball in the play room with Daddy…

His swing is actually getting really good. Time to move all T ball playing to the backyard only! And Please don’t worry, Autumn also got some one on one daddy time this weekend.

My kids adore their Da-Da, which happens to be Autumn’s word of choice lately. She babbles Da-Da all day long.

Well, Friday was a gorgeous day in ABQ with a high of 78 and minimal wind! We decided after Autumn took her late afternoon nap that we would go pick up some delicious KFC and head to the park for a dinner picnic. We took the kids to a park we had never been to and we had the entire park to ourselves. It was so much fun and both kids had an absolute blast! There is nothing I would rather do then spend every evening like this; nice weather, my beautiful family and a bucket of chicken. Can it get better?

All set up for some picnic fun!

I mashed up Autumn’s favorite since we all got to eat some delicious chicken. Avocado and Bananas are Autumn’s very favorite. The girl ate every last bite! O yeah, and some mashed potatoes Daddy gave her. What can I say, the girl loves to eat!

In case you were starting to wonder where Owen was, he was off playing of course. He did run back every once in a while to get some food!
