That's right everyone, mama has a belly! As you may or may not have known at the beginning of this month Vanessa went on a 2 week cruise with her mom, grandma and two aunts to Hawaii. When she returned, it looked like she enjoyed the all you can eat buffet a little too much, but it was the baby that really enjoyed all the food.
It seems that Vanessa's body is adjusting almost everyday to the miracle growing inside of her. The day after Thanksgiving Vanessa got really sick and could not keep anything down and became severly dehydrated so we went to the Emergency Room to make sure everything was okay with mama and little one. It certainly was no fun being at the hospital for six long hours but it was all worth it when an unexpected ultrasound was performed and we got to see our child a month sooner than expected.
It was too early to determine the sex so no big news yet, but for the 30 minutes or so we had the privlage of looking at our child we were both in total amazement and could not say a word. It is really hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the pregnacy already, where has the time gone?Enjoy the pictures of both mommy and baby and stay tuned for future posting on both of their development. Hooray! I finally was able to see the baby. I am still not sure if its a boy or girl! I am just happy and blessed to be a grandma!
I can hardly wait to hug the mama and papa at Christmas time!

He is soooooo cute! Is that a full head of hair on top of his head? I think so. Anyway, stop thinking that he is coming super early! He has to wait until I get home. I'm gonna' try and speed down the coast!
