This blog post is mainly going to consist of a whole bunch of random pictures from our past couple weeks. A look into what we have been up to this summer to stay busy, keep active, and us simply enjoying our family time & friends time. I will try to keep the writing to a minimum for times sake, but we all are well aware that isn’t my strong point so we shall see what happens. Here we go…

On the cool overcast kind of morning we like to head down by the Platte River for a nice family stroll on Daddy’s days off. The last stroll we went on ended up being about a 4 mile walk (and I even ran 1 of those miles). I haven’t ran in about a year, but wow it felt wonderful, at least that day it did, my legs paid for it the next day. On the walk back to the car we found a cute little park attached to some apartment complex so we decided to stop by and let the kids play.
Owen even attempted to run with me…key word being ‘attempted’, it didn’t last too long. Lol
Later that same day we had an indoor picnic while watching a movie, and then some family time playing with sidewalk chalk. It was a GREAT family day,
Owen’s chalk work,
and Autumn would much rather instruct you what to draw instead of drawing it herself. We always say she is going to be a GREAT manager one day, she loves delegating to others what needs to be done :)

I can’t even begin to count how many days we spend eating a picnic style lunch at the various parks around us. Usually with the company of wonderful friends. We love it and I love not having to clean up after lunch, eating outdoors with the kids is a major plus in my book :)
Autumn, Keelan, Owen & Eisley

Owen completed Vacation Bible School 2013. He had a blast! All of his best buds attended the same VBS program so he was SO eager to go each day and see all his friends.

The kids had their first experience getting Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Truck.
and of course they chose Spider Man & Hello Kitty! They were two VERY happy kiddos!
******************************************************
Owen got some Wiffle Golf Balls and has been practicing Golf in the front yard every day. He is REALLY into golfing…
Autumn tries too but usually just ends up stressing out her big bro because, ‘she’s not doing it right!’ LOL!!

Gymnastics is still in full swing. Owen even got to participate in Autumn’s class last week and had a blast.
Bad blurry picture, but you get the idea. Autumn is giving her bestie Eisley a Wheelbarrow Ride and Owen is jumping on the left.

Remember a couple blogs ago how I mentioned that Autumn loves to play with Owen’s tball teammate/great friend Emma’s older brothers? Yeah, I think she has fallen in love with a 9 & 11 year old. She simply loves them and practically run out the door screaming when I say it’s time to go to tball. I think Autumn & the 9 year old have fallen in love, they are honestly inseparable. Here is an example of a typical day at the ball fields for Autumn & Connor…
They are too cute! Connor is such a sweet sweet kid and is SO great with Autumn.

So since Owen & Emma just love playing together & Autumn just adores her older brothers Connor (9) & Josh (11) we have been spending about 4 days a week with them. I have gotten really close with their Mom Kim and am super thankful for this new friendship, she is great. They are just the sweetest and awesome family. Needless to say this is going to be a super fun summer hanging with the Snide Family.
Here they are having fun eating a picnic lunch at the pool,
It’s an ongoing joke with Kim & I that we might as well just call each other ‘In-Laws’. Lol
Emma, Owen & Emma’s friend Camden. Such a sweet group of kiddos.
This was Autumn about 2 minutes after we left the pool. Hahaha, she was super exhausted after a few hours at the pool!
Then a few days ago we went to a free magic show with them at Clement Park. It was a blast. After the fun magic show we walked down to the lake and fed the ducks/geese and then headed to the park for a bit of play time. Another super fun filled day with the Snide’s.
A few of the kids at the Magic Show. Owen, Emma, Garrett (Conner's friend) and Josh.
Josh even got picked to go on stage to participate :)
Feeding the ducks,
Autumn and her sweet little friend Raylynn (my friend Angie’s daughter) met us there too!
Autumn and ‘The Boys’!
This is just nuts….After I just finished telling all the kids to be careful around the geese wandering around us because they can bite, my lovely, fearless, half insane, daughter goes right over to this goose, puts her index finger out in front of her and says, “Hey goosey, taste my finger.” WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!?!?!? She is crazy!
Owen & Emma. Isn’t Emma beautiful, even better she is probably the best behaved sweetest girl I have ever met. Owen just loves hanging out with her. And since she has two older brothers she loves to play boy stuff so Owen totally digs that :)
Autumn get’s the royal treatment and get’s carried around everywhere with these boys. They often get in little tiffs about who gets to carry Autumn, hahaha.
Goodness gracious they are SO adorable!!!

And I think that about sums up our summer thus far. Hope you enjoyed a peek into everyday life around here, I’m sure I’ll be back soon for more…
