Father’s Day 2013

Father’s Day 2013 was wonderful.

Brandon was able to get the day off so it was nice having him home to spoil on his day, and boy did he deserve this day since he is a phenomenal Father!! Our day started off going to the 9am Church Service with the company of his Mom. It was a great service and so nice to be at church as a family. After church we went out for an early lunch since we needed to put Autumn down for an early nap. After lunch we came home, Autumn Napped, Owen had ‘quiet time’, Brandon relaxed on the couch watching Golf, while I was busy busy busy getting stuff ready and packed up for our afternoon. After naps and all that jazz, we hit the road and headed to my Sis-In-Law’s house to celebrate Father’s Day together along with Brandon’s Dad & Ramona. We had planned to go to her community pool and grill out but the weather was so crazy that day, Windy & Cloudy one second and Warm & Sunny the next? Any who, we decided to take our chances and give it a shot. It went great, the daddies & kids got to swim together, while the ladies were preparing food & setting up. We ate a delicious dinner of Brats, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, a Veggie Platter & Grape Salad. Yum! At the very end the wind really picked up and we took that as our cue to pack up and head back to their house for Key Lime Pie & Presents :) It was a great day, kicked back, and very relaxed spent with awesome company honoring some awesome Dad’s. The Day Before:

I’m going to rewind really quick. The day before Father’s Day the kids and I worked really hard making some special wrapping paper for Daddy’s Father’s Day present. We chose doing this over making him a card and it came out AWESOME. I think the kids took 2+ hours to complete it, they were very serious making sure it was perfect. Lol.

 

Owen did all the writing himself, I just went back over it to make the letters Bold. He did a GREAT job!

They were SO SO SO proud of this and were so excited to show it to Daddy. It really came out awesome & Daddy absolutely loved it!
