So after a rocky start to the T-ball season (first practice cancelled due to Snow, Second cancelled due to rain, First game rained out), I am happy to announce T-ball is finally in full swing. With that said, Owen is absolutely LOVING it! I am so happy because we tried him in Soccer last summer and although he said he was having fun, I just wasn’t convinced. Soccer just wasn’t his thing. Well this time, I am 100% positive this kid is LOVIN what he is doing. He is so eager to run out the door to practice and can barely sleep the night before game day because he is filled with anticipation. Makes me so happy to know he is having so much fun. Here are a few pictures from last weeks game and practice.
1st Practice:
All ready to head out the door :) Water, Check; Glove, Check; Ball, Check.
1st Game Day – Rockies vs. Orioles
Mr. Big Shot in the Dugout
First up to bat for the Rockies, Owen Michael Burgess!
Run Owen, Run!
While Owen was busy playing ball, Autumn was busy being a crazy little girl bursting with energy…
Coming Home!
Owen and his sweet friend Emma cheering on another teammate as they bat. Emma was in Owen’s Pre-school and her Dad is the Coach of the team, Coach Clem. They boy in the green shorts is Emma’s Brother Conner, Autumn just adores Conner. He is so sweet and patient with her.
Good Game High Five.
‘Let’s Go Rockies!’
Post Game Snack: Gatorade & Fruit Snacks :)
A couple things I have learned about T-ball:
1. There are no rules.
-If you hit the ball, you run (but only to 1st base, you’ve got to make it fair).
-You always make it to home plate, (but the score is not kept)
-Everyone get’s a turn to bat.
2. It’s probably one of the cutest kids sports to watch.
-Some kids play in the sand, while others are busy waving and yelling to their parents.
-It doesn’t matter what position you are playing, when the ball is hit, EVERYONE on the team runs after it.
-When a kid catches the ball, before throwing it they immediately find the closet coach to receive their high five.
It’s absolutely adorable and most importantly Owen is having a blast. His Coach is so awesome, so patient and really makes it fun while teaching them fundamentals. We are so excited for this 1st season of T-ball. I have a feeling he’ll be playing t-ball for quite a bit :)
