This past Thursday Owen finished up his school year. He is officially done with Pre-K and will be moving onto Kindergarten next year. That is honestly crazy just saying that as I have no clue how MY son grew up so fast. His school doesn’t do the whole Graduation thing since depending on when Birthday’s fall, some kids won’t be moving onto Kindergarten if they miss the cut off date. But, they made sure to make the week fun for the kids. Tuesday was Beach Day, they had pools, water balloons, water squirting toys, etc. and the kids got to have fun fun fun in the cool water. Then Thursday they finished the last day with a Ice Cream Social on the play ground and parents and siblings were welcome to come and join in the fun. Unfortunately I had a very sick toddler on my hands, so I had to miss it, but I heard it was a blast. I am so grateful for this past year of Pre-K at Foothills Christian Pre-school as Owen has grown a lot and made some of the most wonderful friends. But its onto Bigger & Better things now as we are approaching Owen’s 1st year of ‘real’ school! I am really looking forward to Kindergarten next year as he will be going to one of the highly ranked Elementary Schools in Jefferson County, but SUPER SUPER sad Owen’s BFF won’t be at his school. Those boys will miss each other dearly but I am 100% positive they will keep up their friendship outside of school.
The Picture on the Left is his 1st Day of School & The Picture on the Right is his Last Day of School.
And to avoid a MAJOR meltdown, here is Autumn on Owen’s Last Day of Pre-school. LOL
At the end of the year, they each got to take home a book looking back at their year at Foothill Christian Pre-school. Such an AWESOME memory to keep, it honestly brought tears in my eyes. I don’t think it is at all possible to be any more proud of my little boy :) Here are some of my favorites from the book…
I would also like to add, that Owen received 1st Place in the Donut Eating Contest!!!!
And that does it my friends. Pre-K is over.
