Alright everyone, I finally have some ‘downtime’ to do an Easter post.
Easter was great, a little busy since the kids and I barely got back into town from our spring break vacation Thursday night, but it was all worth it. We started the Easter weekend off by dying Easter Eggs on Friday night as a family. It was a fun relaxing night creating some fun memories with our adorable kiddos.
All ready to dye eggs, or ‘color’ eggs as Owen says because he doesn’t like the work dye. Lol. I LOVE this picture of Autumn because it 100% describes her crazy personality!
We did the whisk idea again this year since we had so much success last year. 2 for 2, went great and mess free!
Finished products!
Easter morning we woke up bright and early to head to Church. Our Church normally has 7 services each weekend between the 2 locations, so instead of doing the norm, they rented out the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO (North of Denver) and had 2 giant services. It was REALLY neat having everyone all at one place and having both worship bands there was AWESOME to say the least. Any way, we left the house around 7:40am to make the drive up and get good seats for the 9 O'clock service. We also had my wonderful Mother-In-Law & my Dear Friend Elizabeth join us at church that morning :). But, before we headed off to our awesome church service, we of course had to head downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny brought…
The kids were VERY excited for their awesome baskets! The Easter Bunny ROCKS, lol.
All ready to head to church. Wow, I look really tired. Hahaha.
We got home from church around Noon, and it was busy busy busy from there on. Since we hosted Easter Dinner at our house, Brandon and I were busy getting things ready while the kiddos napped. They got up and everyone arrived about 3ish. It was such a fun afternoon with all of Brandon’s wonderful family. The present explosion in our family room was borderline ridiculous (it looked like Christmas morning) but it means a lot to us to know how much our kids are loved by all our wonderful family and we are so grateful for all the treats they were given. Pretty sure we are stocked up on enough Candy to last us until Halloween comes. No joke really. We ate a wonderful Potluck style dinner that consisted of A Honey Baked Ham, A Slow Cooked Whole Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Salad, Asparagus, Rolls and Deviled Eggs. Everything was AMAZING!!! After dinner we did an egg hunt for the kiddos and just relaxed hanging out on the patio since the weather was Ah-Mazing!!!!! It was honestly such a wonderful day spent with people we love!!!
I decided to make a slow cooked whole chicken in my crock pot since I knew the weekend and Easter morning were going to be crazy. It was super easy and super delicious. And I HAVE to have Deviled Eggs on Easter so all the eggs the kids colored got put to good use :)
Present OVERLOAD!!!!

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
-Romans 6:8-11-
It was an absolutely perfect day celebrating Easter and the true Sacrifice that Jesus made for us so we can live with hope through Christ ! HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!!!
