Trend of the New Year, I am so far behind on blogging. After my hospital stay/recovery/my mom here/getting back into a normal routine blogging has taken the back seat understandably so. Any who, while my Mom was in town we had two Birthday Parties to attend and one was my Niece Bailey’s 1st Birthday. I am so glad we all live close enough to celebrate all these big milestones in the kids lives together! Brandon’s Sister and Brother-In-Law live in Parker, CO which is about a 40 minute drive East of where we live. They live in a beautiful subdivision where they have a really cool clubhouse/pool (for summer use of course). They decided to take advantage of the awesome, big, open clubhouse and hosted Bailey’s 1st Birthday Party there. My Sister-In-Law Megan, a fellow Pinterest addict, went all out making Bailey’s 1st Birthday absolutely adorable and super festive in a Lady Bug Theme. It was honestly SO SO SO cute which I am sure felt great after the countless hours she put into planning this special day. Although the kids will never remember their 1st Birthday, I truly believe the 1st Birthday is also a huge celebration for the parents as they have survived the first crazy, unexpected, difficult, challenging, rewarding, life changing 365 day of their lives as new parents. Congrats Megan & Dan you have raised an adorable, happy, sweet, loving little girl, and I am so honored to be her Aunt!
Warning: You have been warned there are a TON of pictures.
Before everyone arrived to the party, I decided to go around and take lots of pictures of all the wonderful work my sis-in-law put into Bailey’s Party. She is so very talented and everything was impeccable from the decorations to party favors to the food.
I was very honored that my Sis-In-Law asked me to make Bailey’s ‘Happy Birthday’ Banner. She told me what she wanted it to say and gave me free reign to let me design and come up with something special for my sweet Bailey.
Since the light was so bright in the back I didn’t get a great picture of the sign so here is one I took at home when I completed it.
And yes, I sewed the entire thing from each triangle to the applique letters. It took me forever but I was VERY proud of the final product!
The Sweet 1 Year Old Birthday Girl!
My kiddos even dressed ‘in theme’! They had a blast at the party. There was so much to do…
And Owen’s favorite was the game table playing Connect Four…
Isn’t Megan’s outfit adorable?!?!
