This past weekend (Monday & Tuesday-that’s ‘our’ weekend) my Sister and her family came to visit. They both have to work on Christmas and we didn’t get to see them for Thanksgiving, so we decided we’d see each other smack in the middle of the two holidays instead. They drove up late Sunday and got in about midnight and stayed until Wednesday afternoon. Since Abi’s Birthday is next Wednesday, we decided to have a mini Birthday Celebration for her while she was here. The cousins really seemed to enjoy each others company and it was so nice for all of us to spend some quality time together. Thanks again Bollinger Family for making the trip up to see us, it was a blast having you all here.
Monday:
So Monday was all about Miss Abigail. We started the day by heading to the Denver Children’s Museum. They kids had a blast playing there for about 2 hours. Once all of our tummies were growling, we headed over to Chick-fil-a for some more play time and lunch. After that, the kids were BEAT so we headed home for naps. While the kids napped, my sis and I frosted the cupcakes, ran to the store, and cut up some veggies for dinner while our hubby’s had some fun playing video games. Once the kiddos got up, we let them play for an hour until it was party time. Mimi came over to help celebrate too. We had a Pizza party dinner followed by Cake & Ice Cream. The kids had such a fun day. So glad I got to have a mini B-day celebration with my sweet niece since I wont be there for her real party next week :(.
Here are the kiddos all ready for some Museum Fun. The Denver’s Children Museum is rated one of the top 15 Children's Museum in the US, needless to say, the kids had a wonderful time!
Fire House Fun:
Club House Fun:
Veterinarian Clinic Fun:
Kinetics Fun:
This whole Kinetics Area was new since we have been there. It was SO awesome. The kids honestly could have spent their entire time in this one area.
My Sister & Brandon got really into it too!
Art Fun:
Bubble, Bubble, Bubble Fun:
Choo Choo Fun:
Grocery Store Fun:
We had SO much fun at the Children’s Museum. What a fun place to take Abi to on her special day :)
After naps the kids just hung around and played for a bit.
Later that day it was party time…
Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet Abi Girl!!!!
And once the kids were all sugared out, bathed, and tucked into bed it was adult time. My sis and I enjoyed some quite time wrapping Christmas presents and chit chatting while the boys played some more video games.

Tuesday:
Tuesday was a pretty laid back day. While Owen was at school we took the Bollinger’s to Ikea since neither of them had ever been. We walked around, browsed and ate lunch there since Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays :)
We picked Owen up from school and it was nap time all around. After naps we didn’t really do much, just hung around the house. The kids played outside until it got too cold and then we just kind of kicked back, ate dinner, and just enjoyed each others company!
A little chill time with a cartoon after dinner
And story time before bed.
Once the kiddos were all tucked in, my sister and I decided to escape for a cocktail after dinner. We started a tradition on her last trip here that we got out after the kids go to bed for a Cocktail & Fried Pickles. Love the time I get with my big sis, she’s quite amazing :)
Perfect way to end our great day!

Wednesday:
Wednesday morning we took it pretty easy, ate breakfast, got dressed and so on. Once we were all ready to go we took the kids to the mall for a little play time and then we went to Panera Bread for lunch. Came home for naps and then the Bollinger’s took off to head home :(
The Beautiful Bollinger Family
Such a fun afternoon.
