It’s hard to believe I am a bit behind on blogging since I blog all the time, but I guess that goes to show we have been busy busy busy around here. Any who, here is a bit of things I missed…
Owen’s 1/2 Birthday
Wait wait wait, before you draw conclusions and I think I am that crazy parent who celebrates my kids 1/2 Birthday’s I can assure you I am not. However, at Owen’s Pre-School all kids who have a Birthday after the school year (late spring & summer bdays') they Celebrate those kids 1/2 Birthday’s so they can still celebrate with their class. With that said, when it’s your child’s Birthday (or in this case 1/2 bday) the parents are supposed to bring a fun treat in for snack day. Owen was very specific and requested Mini Chocolate Cupcakes with vanilla frosting and sprinkles (or as Autumn calls them ‘sprinklers’). So that is exactly what I made.
Happy 4 1/2 Birthday Owen!
O yeah, and his school pics finally came in and they are ADORABLE…
Why he doesn’t smile for me like this I have no clue, but WOW he looks so grown up and O’ So Handsome! I could not be more pleased. Now which one to choose?!?!

Autumn & Gymnastics:
Really nothing new to report on this other than the fact that she is still absolutely LOVING gymnastics and she continues to excel in it every week.
Bad pics, but you get the point.
Her Coach seems to really love the spunkiness Autumn has and how fearless she is. I love this girl so much!

Very warm weather:
So I naturally assumed that I was in for a very cold winter since we are now living in Colorado, but its been really warm here lately. I figured December would be in the 30’s and 40’s but its been in the low 60’s and high 50’s the past few weeks. One day it even hit 69! Anyway, with that said we have been frequenting the parks lately. Thank goodness this next week looks like we are in the 40’s, I am dying for some cool weather, cool as in SNOW!!!!

Family Get together in Boulder, CO:
The week of Thanksgiving we took a trip up to Boulder, CO to go visit some of the Burgess side of the family. Brandon’s Aunt Patty & Uncle Doug just bought a second home up in Boulder this past summer and we have been dying to see it. They don’t live there permanently just yet, but that is the long term goal, as of now their main residence is in San Francisco. Any who, their son (Brandon's cousin) Christopher and his girlfriend Kate were coming into town from State College, PA to spend Thanksgiving with them in Boulder so they all invited us over for a little get together while they were in town. Dinner was amazing and their new home was stunning, very modern and right at the base of the mountain, wow is all I can say to sum it up! It was such a fun night! I didn’t get too many pictures since we were all busy enjoying our company but here are the few I was able to snap.
We stayed well passed the kids bedtimes and had an hour drive back home, needless to say the kids were plum tuckered out!
Such a fun night with great family! Thanks again so much for having us Uncle Doug & Aunt Patty :)
