Okay, I’m back to try and squeeze in my blog about Christmas Day while I have a brief quiet moment. Our company is out visiting some family, kids are napping and my hubby is entertained with Football so now is my 1 and only chance before the New Year to blog! Okay here we go.
Christmas morning we woke up to a ground covered with fresh snow!
A perfect sight to wake up to on Christmas morning! Brandon’s Dad (aka Papa Bruce) came over to spend the morning with us. I actually had to wake my kids up because they were being sleepy heads. They came downstairs to see the magic that happened over night, stockings were full, presents were left under the tree, and the goodies they left out were gone! I love Christmas through a Childs eye. We quickly got to opening the gifts under the tree. Once we finished up we ate a super yummy breakfast of French Toast Casserole, An Egg & Bacon Casserole, fresh Grapefruits, and Juice. It was delish and enjoyed by all. After breakfast the kids played with all there new things while Brandon and I got dressed for the day. We FINALLY pulled them away from their new toys, got them dressed and put Autumn down for a very abbreviated nap while I was busy in the kitchen preparing Appetizers (Asparagus wrapped in phyllo dough, jalapeno Poppers & a Cheese Ball w/crackers) to take over to our big Christmas Celebration with Brandon’s Mom’s side of the family at my Sister-In-Law’s house. We packed up the food presents and kids at 12:30pm and headed out. Once we arrived it was fun chaos for the rest of the day. Lots of family/friends, lots of delicious food and lots and lots of presents! TOO many presents. It was a very fun & very exhausting day but we enjoyed every minute of it. Enough gibber gabber and onto the pictures….
Little Investigator!
Checking out their Santa gifts. Poor Autumn was still half asleep and was lacking some major enthusiasm. Lol.
Present Time!
Papa’s helpers!
Nana & Pampo’s presents were a HUGE hit!!!
Breakfast was served.
And then it was off to the BIG Celebration! Pictures from this point were a bit scattered since it was busy busy busy the entire time we were there. No resting on Christmas when you have 5 little ones running around! There was lots of wonderful family surrounding and present time was CRAZY! I have never seen so many gifts in all my life. Enjoy…
Insane amount of gifts. And we told our kids over and over this Christmas season, “Christmas is NOT about the gifts.” I think that month long lecture flew out the window when they saw this!!!
So blessed with such an amazing family. I have the best “In-Laws” EVER!!!!
My four-legged niece Daisy!
Can’t believe how fast my niece Bailey has grown up. She will be 1 next month!?!?!?!
Walker Races!

And then it was Present Chaos, I mean Present Time. Jk.
Pic on the Left: Mimi, Autumn & Aunt Rose. Pic on the Right: Val (Megan’s BFF) & Her daughter Leila.
Here is a peek at the reason I say present chaos…
There was paper, ribbon & bows EVERYWHERE, melt downs were happening everywhere you looked,
and people were all over the place. Haha. It was so much fun despite the crazyness. My Sister/Brother-In-Law were SO very gracious to open up their beautiful home to host this beautiful holiday!!!
After the presents, we ate a delicious dinner. There was Beef Tenderloin (my Sis-In-Law made this and it was AMAZING, best beef ever!), a Honey Baked Ham, Sweet Potatoes, Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Jello Salad, Stuffing, Left over appetizers and every dessert you could imagine. SO yummy!!!
After dinner the kids deserved some major down time and watched a movie on the iPad.
Then there was 1 last special present for the 3 Cousins courtesy of…..
Radio Flyer Wagons!!!! Yay!!!!

And that FINALLY concludes our 2012 Christmas! A HUGE thanks to all the family/friends who were SO very generous to us and our kids. They, as always, got way more than they’ll ever need but we are truly Thankful for all the amazing blessings and people in our lives. And even though I had a WONDERFUL Christmas, my family was truly and deeply missed this Christmas :( First Christmas living in a new state, bittersweet.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
