A few Random Pics before Thanksgiving

In an attempt to keep playing massive catch up on my poor neglected little blog, here are some random pics I have from the weekend after my Birthday until Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving will hopefully be my next blog. Bare with me my faithful & devoted followers :)

The weekend after my Birthday my sweet friends all got together for Brunch. One of my good friends, Betsy (she moved a few months back back to AZ where she is from), came to visit for the weekend. So the Brunch was partly since she was in town and partly for my Birthday. I am so blessed with some awesome Girlfriends.

To end our fun weekend while Betsy was in town we went to Church together in the morning,

and ended with a nice Bronco Win that night!

My friend Betsy brought the kids some sweet little gifts when she was here. Owen got this really neat Dinosaur Excavating Block. He is obsessed with Dino’s & Dino Bones so this was a BIG hit. You get to dig through the tough sand, find all the bones, and then glue them together to make a Dino Skeleton.

Autumn’s Pre-School Pictures came in….

Owen got to be in this really adorable Music Video at our wonderful Church. They helped decorate the stage for Christmas and then they all sang some fun Christmas songs. They played the video at the Christmas Church service. It was a great way to involve the kiddos since it’s such a big church :)

Just in case you were wondering, Owen is the first row of standing children smack in the middle. See him? Lol

And as usual, little sis got dragged along. She is such a good sport and a very supportive little sis, she was cheering him on in the Audience.

And Owen’s school was having a Food Drive so Owen decided to take the money from his ‘Give’ Piggy Bank (he has a give, spend, & save bank) to go buy some food to donate. It was so sweet, even little sis wanted to participate. Brandon and I told them we would match whatever amount they came up with together and then we went shopping. It was a great experience getting the kiddos involved in the ‘giving’ spirit.

They even got to pay by themselves with all their change at the self check out. They had a blast and Owen was shocked at how little you get on a budget…welcome to my world kid!

Owen’s Field Trip

On my actual Birthday, November 14th, I was able to chaperone Owen’s 3rd Field Trip. Thank you to my wonderful friend Stephanie (Autumn’s BFFs Mom) who took Autumn home with her to play after pre-school. We went to the Nature & Science Museum. This was the first bus field trip I have gone on with 40+ Kindergarteners and it was honestly delightful. Loud, but delightful. Somehow Owen’s group that I was in charge of consisted of 3 girls and 1 boy. Owen was able to chose 1 person and the rest were randomly assigned and of course he chose a girl. Melia, the love of his life. Joking mainly, but these two definitely have a little Kindergarten sized crush on each other. It was 4.5 hours all together including the bus ride to and from so things went very fast pace and perfect for their little attention spans. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my babies and go on these fun little trips with them and their classes. Perfect way to spend my Bday.

Discovering. This was my first time at the Denver Nature & Science Museum and it is fabulous! I can’t wait to go back and explore when we have more time to spend there and less kids to be responsible for.

We even found a little New Mexican Gem. Owen was so excited and told everyone in his class that is where he was born.

The last half hour of the trip, we had to meet in the Museum Education room for a class. They had been learning all month about Bears & Hibernating, so that is what the class was on. They even got to dress like bears and do some hibernating of their own.

They had to collect food to store up,

They slept for a really long time in their caves,

And then they had babies :)

It’s pretty blurry, but here is Owen and his ‘friend’ Melia. He is goo goo over this pretty little girl.

 

And after the field trip, the kids insisted that we bake a cake since it was my Birthday. They have no clue how to celebrate a Birthday without a Cake. Honestly, it’s all they know. Birthday always equal cake. End of story. So to appease them, We baked.

GG & I’s Birthday Celebration

okay, behind on blogging doesn’t even partially begin to explain how insanely busy & chaotic my life has been over the past two(ish) months, so I won’t even try and waste my time explaining. So in another massive attempt to keep this blog going I’m going to be doing a lot of catch up posts over the next couple days(ish) to try and get some pictures up of the past two months of our lives. Writing is going to be little and less pictures per post (compared to my normal) but it’s a start. right? Here we go. I’ve had a lot of concerns/complaints about my lack of blogging and although it keeps some added pressure on me, I absolutely LOVE how much my blog followers care about me and want updates and pics of my family. Love you all!

GG & I have Birthdays less than a week apart (November 9th & 14th) so we always celebrate together with a big family dinner. Aunt Rose hosted again and everything was delicious and impeccable always. She’s an amazing hostess. GG turned 80 & I turned 29 (last year in my 20’s, eeeek!).
