Aside from our random snow last week, the weather here has actually been really nice lately which means we play outside ALL the time! Bike & Scooter Riding, Playing Football, Digging in the sand box, and their favorite….Side Walk Chalk!

Last Monday was a fun family day. We went to the park in the morning, had lunch at Costco after shopping, and after we got Owen from school we decided to go on a nice long family walk along the Platte River. We forgot to take the camera, but WOW was the walk beautiful with all the lovely fall colors (we snapped a few pictures on our phones to try and capture the beauty). I absolutely LOVE this time of year.

I can FINALLY French braid Autumn’s hair. I have wanting to do this for so long now, but her super thin fine hair has made it very difficult. She loves it and asks me to braid her hair everyday. It’s so fun having a little girl!!!!

We have been getting together A LOT with Owen’s new friend from school Brayden, his little brother Brycen, and his mom Brittany. They are a super sweet family and the four kiddos get along perfectly. So much fun making new friends.

This past Friday, Owen went on his first ever bus field trip with out ME! They ended up with way too many volunteers so they had to draw names from a hat and unfortunately mine wasn’t picked. Any who, I was SO nervous for my baby boy to go on a big bus ride and be at a pumpkin patch with a stranger parent responsible for him. Seriously, I was a wreck. I cried dropping him off. It was worse than the first day of school. It was ridiculous. But despite my craziness the day was perfect. Owen had a blast and I survived without a massive panic attack. Owen assured me multiple times at drop off that’d he’d be just fine, and he was. I dropped him off at 8:30am and picked him up at 1:30pm. He rode the bus and got to take a sack lunch so he was thrilled. He came home with a cute little pumpkin and lots of fun stories for me, he even got a pony ride!

Every Friday after school the kids and I make a trip to the Public Library to check out a new book. They love this and LOVE checking out their books at the computer with their very own library cards. A fun thing for them to look forward to each week. It has just worked out that every time we go we run into someone from Owen’s class. This week we ran into Gwen & her little sister Anna. The kids had a blast together on the computers :)

And this past Saturday the kids and I attended Owen’s friend Keelan’s 5th Birthday Party. It was a swimming party at the ridge rec center and we all had a blast. Happy Birthday Keelan!
