Autumn’s Dedication to the Lord

This past Sunday was a very special day for us. Brandon and I stood before our family, friends and most importantly God and dedicated Autumn’s Life into his care, just as Hannah dedicated her child to the Lord in 1 Samuel 1: 27-28. Autumn is God’s child first who he has in trusted into our care here on Earth. Wow, if you truly think about that that is a lot to swallow. On April 10, 2011 we made a promise to God that we will do everything in our power to raise her in a Christ centered loving home and point her into God grace. We also stood and prayed for the day when Autumn will open up her heart and ask Jesus to become the leader and forgiver of her life just as Brandon and I have done. What an amazing day that will be! A big thanks to all our friends and family members who are constantly helping Brandon and I to raise our kids in a God loving environment. We didn’t get to take to many pictures at her actual dedication ceremony since we were kind of tied up, but we went to Dion’s for dinner before and took a few there. Enjoy. 

Our church did the baby dedications a little different this time around. In the past they dedicated the babies before the start of each service. Well, this time it was a separate ceremony for the families dedicating their babies. It was set up banquet style and you were reserved a spot to invite 6 friends or family members to join you. We invited my Parents, my Sister and our great friends Matt and Kaitlyn and Christy (our pastors wife). Before the dedication ceremony we met up with my family (my sister, niece and parents) and had dinner at a local pizza/sub place called Dion’s. Our great friends Matt and Kaitlyn were supposed to join us too, but poor Kaitlyn got a 24 hour stomach bug and was stuck in bed . Here is our time at dinner.

After the dedication we went home and let Autumn open up a special present that Nana and Pampo got her to remember the special day she was dedicated to the Lord.

The blue box are gold cross earrings with a diamond stud in the middle from my parents, and my grandma got her the set of 3 in the green box. So fancy! I guess your never too young for your first set of diamonds!

Auntie Kiki’s Birthday Dinner…

Last week was my Sister’s 29th Birthday. Holy cow sis, 1 more year to the big 3-0! Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate her b-day since that was the first night that worked with everyone’s schedules. We went to this awesome local restaurant called Sadie’s. They have the best Mexican Food in the entire state, in my opinion at least, and o my is the chili spicy. Here are a few pictures from our evening. Happy Birthday Sissy, we love you bunches.

My Dad was letting Autumn suck on a Lemon and she LOVED it. The picture on the right is the face she would make when he pulled the lemon out of her mouth. Too Funny! After she gave that face she would scream until he gave it back to her. She loves food. All kinds of food. Her favorites last night were the lemon and the pinto beans. I think she is about 100% ready to move onto table food.

Now that Autumn is crawling it is becoming a major challenge to go out to eat. She is no longer satisfied with sitting still. The girl wants to move! Brandon and my dad took turns walking around with her. The joys of children!

Abby’s Birthday Party!

Wow, where does all the time go? I can not believe this past weekend we helped one of Owen’s best friends, Abby, celebrate her 3rd Birthday! You all remember Abby right? She is my dear friend, Jessica’s, daughter who is just 6 weeks older than Owen. It was a bitter sweet day for me because I know when Abby celebrates a birthday, Owen is next. Not sure why 3 is hitting me so hard, but it is. It could be the fact that he is fully potty trained now or that he is starting preschool in a few months, I really don’t know. I guess I am just so very sad that my Baby is all grown up now! Anyway, on a happy note, Abby’s party was a blast. She had it at the Albuquerque Zoo. We all met out front, walked around the zoo for an hour and then had a picnic in the grass and ate cupcakes and watched Abby open her gifts. My parents were so sweet and watched Autumn for me so Owen and I could have a little one on one time and what a fun morning we had! Here are a few pictures from the day. (Quick Note: almost all the pictures are of the back of the kids heads. They were so fast and so into watching the animals that it became nearly impossible to get a picture of them.) Enjoy.

I love them so much. They had a blast running around the zoo that morning. I mean it they were literally running, it was kind of hard to keep up with them.

I saved this picture for last because I wanted to do a little comparison.

The Picture above was taken on April 22, 2009. Almost 2 years ago and look how much has changed.  Abby was 1, Owen was 11 months and Olivia was 5 months old. 

This picture was from this past Saturday, April 9th, 2011. Holy cow, look how much they have changed/grown. Us Mommies even look a little different. Excuse the hair flying in my face it was quite windy out. It scares me to think what this picture will look like in another two years!
