PASSED OUT!!!!!

Its hard to believe our little Owen is 6 weeks old already! He can sleep with the best of them, so we thought we would share some of the more memorable shots we have taken of him while he and sometimes Brandon have passed out. Enjoy!!!

Due to high demand, more pictures of Owen

Since we now know that everyone cares more about Owen then Vanessa and I, we figured we would give everyone what they want and share some more pictures of Owen during his first month with us. As we celebrated his one month on Monday the 23rd. It is sure hard to believe it has been a month since he joined our family.

Grandpa Bruce meets Owen this past weekend

Grandpa Bruce came down this past weekend to meet Owen. He sure loved holding the little guy and couldn't believe how big he has gotten in his first month here. I know he is already planning a return trip in the fall to spend a little more quailty time with his grandson.

Grammy Burgess visits Owen during father's day

Grammy Burgess stopped by to see Owen and help out mommy for a few weeks. He definately loved her shoulder to rest his head on when he took one of his many naps. It was Grammy's first chance to see him outside of the hospital and she took every opportunity to hold him before she had to head back to Denver.





She was also a big help during Aunti Jessica's wedding up in Cerillos, since Vanessa and I were in the wedding, Grammy made sure he was nice and calm during the ceremony.

I know Owen is looking forward to taking a nap with her the next time she comes down to visit.

We would like to introduce you to Owen Michael Burgess!!!

Well he needed 40 weeks 2 days to be ready to join the family, but after much anticipation we would like to introduce our son, Owen Michael Burgess to the world. He arrived on Friday May 23rd at 4:52pm and we was 20 inches long and 7 pounds 8.5 ounces.

His arrival was a little scary as he got stuck and he went into shock. He came out with his cord around his neck and not breathing on his own so he had to spend four days in the NICU. We were finally able to bring him home on Tuesday. We are all adjusting to the demands of parenthood and the drastic loss of sleep but as you can tell by these photos he is totally worth it.

We will try to update regularly as he is changing day by day. Thank you to all of you who prayed for his complete recovery, we needed all the prayers. We love you all and God bless.

One last sneak peak at our little guy

With the help of our friend Kaitlyn, Vanessa was able to go one last time to get some ultra sounds of our blessing. He definitely was reluctant to let us see a full face shot and kept his hands up in his face the whole time. But we were able to get some pretty good shots none the less. Its hard to believe that we are able to look at our little guy before he is born.

Now all we have to do is wait a few more weeks until we can kiss that adorable face and those chubby cheeks. Enjoy the photos.

Memories to last a lifetime

Last week Vanessa and I went to take some pictures so we could remeber this special time forever. As you can see, mama is all belly still and she is told several times a that she looks great! But of course she doesn't believe any of them. It is hard to believe we are entering the final few weeks of just two in the Burgess family. We both have a sneaky suspicion that he may join our family earlier than the 14th of May, but time will tell.

Last Friday the neighbors threw a surprise baby shower for Vanessa, we are totally blessed to have such wonderful friends. With all the gifts we received we only had to get a few remaining baby items ourselves and now we believe we are at least prepared with diapers, clothes, books, and everything else to welcome in our blessing.

If he comes before we are able to post another blog, be sure to check back as we will continue to update with pictures of our guy when he arrives. There will probably be a lot less typing because from what we are told we will be to tired to do anything.
