Another Beautiful day at the ABQ Zoo...

Yesterday was 80 degrees and absolutely no wind, so the mom's decided what better way to spend it than outside at the zoo! Yes, play date this week was at the zoo. We had another wonderful picnic on the grass and than walked around the zoo for a couple hours. This time I am pretty sure Owen liked the Polar Bears the best! They were splashing and swimming around and he had a great time watching them. We did much better this time at navigating our way around the zoo; however, we could not seem to find the monkeys anywhere which seemed to be the only thing we could find last time! O well, we will have it down by the end of the summer. The kids had a blast today and we were so excited that Kaitlyn and Olivia were able to join us this time, she is becoming such a big girl!

The car ride home from Pueblo

The car ride home was not as much of a success as the trip there, so the trip home went a little something like this...

He fell asleep the second we got on the highway...

He woke up, I fed him lunch and he was a very happy boy...

The happiness very quickly turned sour and he had a "GET ME OUT OF THIS CAR SEAT" meltdown while we were no where near a stopping point...
So we stopped off on the side of the highway to get him out and stretch his legs...

Then he was a happy boy the remainder of the way home!

Owen and the Guarienti Family

So this past weekend, Brandon, Owen and I took a little two day trip up to Pueblo, CO to visit some of Brandon's old friends. We stayed with his friends Ron and Tammy and their two girls Brooke and Nicole. We had a great time and Tammy was so sweet and cooked us up some amazing food, and Brooke was a sweet heart and let the Burgess family take over her room. Owen had a great time with the girls! Nicole was so great at keeping an eye on Owen for us, so we were able to relax a bit. While we were there Brandon got his cars big tune up done since one of his good friends owns an auto shop, Brandon took me on a 2 hour tour of Pueblo and his old college stomping grounds, we had lunch with some good friends, the Beaudry family, and we took Owen to the zoo. All in all it was a great weekend.

Pueblo, CO Zoo Trip

So while we were up in Pueblo, CO we decided to take Owen to the zoo since our Albuquerque annual zoo pass gets us in for free! It was a beautiful day and Owen loved to see all the animals. This time his favorite were the otters.

Easter Basket from Mommy & Daddy...

Mommy and Daddy couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend more money on there little angel; however, we did buy him things he needed only! He got some new onsies, a few sippy cups, a new outfit, you know the necessities, o yea and some animal crackers!

So what do I do with this exactly?
Okay, no toys here let's move along...

Of course, Owen's very generous Aunt Rose sent him an Easter book. Thanks Aunt Rose He loves it!!!

Grandpa & Grandma Lujan's Easter Basket

So of course Owen did not just get an Easter basket from Mommy and Daddy, he also got an Easter basket from Grandma & Grandpa Lujan. I think he had more fun playing with the Easter grass than he did with the actual stuff inside the basket, go figure!

I dumped all the stuff out...now what do I do?

Okay, seriously get this stuff off my head!

Grammy Becky's Visit...

A couple weeks ago Owen, Brandon and I had our wonderful Grammy Becky down to visit for spring break. Owen had a blast with his Grammy for a whole week. He had so much fun playing with her I don't think he paid any attention to mommy and daddy, come to think of it I don't think he even noticed when we were around! It was such a great time for mommy too, I got to enjoy the simple things in life all over again; like taking a nice long shower, cooking, cleaning. You mom's know what i am talking about, the simple things in life that are sometimes impossible to get done with a child. All in all it was a very nice time and much needed for everyone. Grammy, you just aren't close enough, we miss you...

Having a Grammy who is a teacher is awesome, story time is the BEST!

Which toys are we going to play with next Grammy? That is one big toy box!
